Michel M.J. Shore

If We But Truly Care For the Good Of All

The dwelling is open at each entrance.

May everyone who enters feel welcome.

May all who are hungry come and eat.

Empty tables and empty chairs await.

Politics, religion, culture do not bar anyone.

United as one to rest, relax, restore.

To become whole, once again, at one, with all.

To realize that the common denominator

Brings all together, to see beyond differences,

For the security and well-being,

For the good of all, cared for by all;

To envision a purpose beyond oneself,

For a sum of all parts, amalgamating

For strength in an unbreakable union,

If we but truly care for the good of all.
