In Pursuit of Justice

“I think the first duty of society is justice” [Alexander Hamilton]

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.” [Martin Luther King Jr; Letter from the Birmingham Jail

“Many on the Left warn that democracy is in peril, just because the government they back isn’t in power.” [The words of Eugene Kontorovich in the Wall Street Journal of November 10, 2022  Mr. Kontorovich is a professor at George Mason University’s Scalia Law School and a scholar at the Kohelet policy Forum in Jerusalem].

In his paper, “Israel’s Right-Wing Coalition Get’s the Cold Shoulder from Biden”, he draws attention to the thoughts of many on the Left, who believe that the incoming Netanyahu Administration will be perilous because simply the government they favor will not be empowered.

The US State Department has said that it would boycott some right-wing ministers, and President Biden waited almost a week before calling Mr. Netanyahu to congratulate him. Apparently, what troubles Israel’s critics is the electoral success of Itamar Ben-Gvir’s party. They cite his past in the ‘far-right’ Kahanist movement. One would think their nemesis was the future Prime Minister, rather than the head of a 2nd-tier party, with 7 of 120 seats in the Knesset.

Consider this, if Ben-Gvir’s inclusion in the government is unacceptable, how did they rationalize acceptance in the previous government of Ra’am, a party affiliated with Israel’s Islamic Movement, which was founded by a convicted terrorist; or the far-left Meretz, with roots in an actual Stalinist party; or by Prime Minister Yair Lapid’s apparent willingness to accept support from Hadash, a still-Communist party, whose members of the Knesset recently justified terrorism against Israeli civilians.

David Israel writing in the Jewish Press on December 1, 2022, titled his Op-Ed, “Take That, Mr. President: UAE Ambassador Invites Ben Gvir to his Independence Day Party”. Below he has a photo of “a grim faced President Herzog hosting MK Itamar Ben Gvir, because he has to” on November 10, 2022. Isaac remarks that it is apparent, different Arabs have radically different views of the next National Security Minister, MK Itamar Ben-Gvir. On the one hand , there’s the Lion’s Den terrorist group, which went on Telegram to blame him for the killing of 5 Arabs over the past day and to declare a day of rage in response. Gvir responded to being delighted to see what an impact he had – killing 5 terrorists by just being present!

Ironically, it was followed by a report from Kan News journalist Michael Shemesh. “The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Israel invited Ben-Gvir to a festive event in Tel Aviv in honor of UAE’s 51st Day of Independence. Various Knesset members, ministers and other dignitaries were also included. Gvir’s invitation was  from his Excellency Mohamed Mahmoud Fateh Ali Abdulla Khaja himself.

“The invite was in direct contrast to the unfortunate hot-mic comment by Herzog who told Shas representatives ‘the whole world was afraid of him, meaning Gvir.'”

In concert with this stupidly, there was the bad advice by former diplomats, Dan Kurtzer and Aaron David Miller, who called upon the Biden Administration to get the Abraham Accord partners to fall in line with leftwing agenda against Israel.

The UAE comprises 7 Arab states and not one of them is afraid of Itamar Ben Gvir!

Morton A. Klein, President of ZOA, has correctly stated that Biden’s “objections “to Israeli policy and ministerial choices are undemocratic interference. Indeed, the White House has no right to dictate the conduct of a democratically elected Israeli government.

Biden has stated that “Democracy is under attack.” How then can he justify his actions given his behavior as a dictator. Democracy means justice. There is nothing just or democratic given his mismanagement of America’s borders, where on his account, sizeable cruelty prevails dally. And what about Afghanistan? His botched withdrawal left American citizens and allies behind while emboldening our enemies, diminishing our counterterrorism capabilities, and damaging trust with US allies around the globe.

The remarks that he and his ill equipped Ambassador to Israel, Thomas Nides have made as regards Itamar Ben Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich are totally improper The former intends to increase the size of the police force which has never been done since Israel’s origin. He will also bring to a halt the ever-growing terrorist rate which is now totally unacceptable.

There are those who feel so strongly about the American and Israeli elections that they even recall 9/11. In other words, the “Blame game” seemed to eclipse justice. Ahead of the Netanyahu government becoming a reality on Dec.29 2022 and the Republican Party gaining responsibility for the Congress, Rabbi Prof. Fischer’s “On Trump, Kanye, Biscuit, Jews and dinners” was published on Dec. 4, 2022. It is a work of history and exposes those who only see wrong in Trump verses  23 major accomplishments..

He addresses Trump’s shortcomings and the biases, the media and Jewish self-hatred. Rabbi Fischer contends that Donald Trump has so much self-confidence in his own judgment and smarts, and so much distrust of others’ advice, that he leaves himself bereft of insightful advisors whom he can trust.

It would be remiss to ignore Trump’s nemesis, President Biden. Australian columnist and writer and NY Post leading journalist, Miranda Divine’s “Laptop from Hell”, was published during 2021. It is highly recommended according to the many reviewers. It is extremely personal and one has to wonder why law suits did not follow. Hence, one can only assume it is truthful.

“Politics is not the family business. Service is.”Hunter Biden, Beautiful Things, 2021. The book clears up the story about what happened to the laptop after Hunter deserted it at the repair shop. The FBI picked it up on Dec.2019, but then it disappeared. Finally, the repair person contacted Rudy Giuliani’s lawyer in Aug. 2020. Then it was passed to the NY Post in Sept.2020, two days before the Presidential debates. The Post published one story from the laptop, about Burisma, and the first of many accounts that proved Joe Biden did know about Hunter’s business dealings.

According to Miranda Divine, there was “unprecedented, coordinated censorship by two of the largest multinational companies, Facebook and Twitter, in the world.” [Later, Twitter admitted the laptop was not hacked material.] She also says, “We know from public polls that, if the full story of the Biden family’s foreign influence-peddling scheme had been allowed to be told before the election, it likely would have changed votes—suppression of the Post’s Hunter Biden story amounted to election interference.”

The crudeness and filth that emanated from Hunter Biden, is shameful and consumes much of the subject book.
