Michel M.J. Shore

In the Face of Falsehood and Moral Equivalence

Witnessing the world’s voices and lenses,

We cannot but rely on our senses.

Our planet has turned upside down

From values and principles renowned.

Truth is discarded for expedience.

Lost is the thermometer of ethics.

How can we achieve resilience?

With our timeless moral compass, not polemics.

Better to remain silent, and, yet act

For what must be done in the face of fact.

One ingredient is most essential:

Unity in our history is existential.

With ultimate belief in Divine Providence

In the face of falsehood and moral equivalence.
