Indivisible…

As someone who grew up saluting the flag and singing the national anthem, I am appalled at those who mock, contort and exploit the things that have made this nation great.
For me, it started with Obama’s “You didn’t build that!”
“You” was directed at white people and intended to reinforce a politically engineered division among races. (Who was Obama talking to? Was there someone who said that white people built everything? Is he someone Obama imagined? Does he talk to this imaginary person often?)
Whistleblowers are claiming that the FBI, Department of Justice and IRS have given preferential treatment to the Biden family. We are hearing reports of numerous LLCs used to shield the millions of dollars in foreign payments to or on behalf of Biden family members. (According to Repr. James Comer (KY-R, the number is presently nine.)
The Democratic response?
Attack Trump.
Alvin Bragg, New York County District Attorney filed 34 felony counts against former president and leading Republication 2024 presidential candidate, Donald Trump.
A former member of Bragg’s office, Mark Pomerantz who resigned in protest that Bragg wasn’t anti-Trump enough, wrote “People vs. Donald Trump” at a time Bragg’s investigation was ongoing. When the House Judiciary Committee sought to subpoena Pomerantz, Bragg filed a complaint asking the court to prevent it. The court denied his pleading, ruling “No man is above the law.”
Legal scholar Jonathan Turley has analyzed Pomerantz’s acts and the ramifications of Bragg’s filing of a legally insufficient indictment. To paraphrase, Professor Turley, it’s as if Pomerantz smashed the front door and Bragg joined the mobs looting the Target. Miranda Devine, author of “Laptop From Hell” has revealed the sworn testimony of former acting CIA chief, Mike Morell in which he testified that Biden’s then senior campaign official Anthony Blinken (now Secretary of State) contacted him about getting experts to describe the abandoned Hunter Biden laptop as “Russian disinformation”. Morell agreed and solicited 50 signatories to such a letter, relying on their background as intelligence officers and their classified status to give it credibility. At the second 2000 presidential debate a few days later, Biden told the nation that he had been cleared by 50 experts. (This was at a time that the FBI had had the laptop for nearly a year and surely knew it was authentic and Hunter Biden and Joe Biden most likely knew that they had it.) Asked why he did it Morell said “because I wanted him to win”.
In the opening battle scene of the movie “Gladiator”   the Roman Army flings fire pots at the charging Germanians. Flaming missile after missile hit the trees and explode. You don’t know where to look first.
As uncomfortable as it is for Americans, we must not look away look from the misuse of our nation’s agencies for political purposes.
Those who betrayed our nation and those who conspired to use our institutions to shield them from responsibility for their actions must be identified and held accountable.
As Maximus, the hero of “Gladiator” said to Commodus, the villain, we, too must say, “The time for honoring yourself will soon be at an end.”
