Iran

At the upcoming UN General Assembly this week Prime Minister Netanyahu will ask President Trump to make changes to the US policy regarding the Iranian Nuclear Agreement signed by President Obama in 2015. Iran is clearly building a nuclear weapons program under the guise of one that is peaceful and non-military. However, they are currently the largest state sponsor of terror in the world, which has not abated since the signing of the agreement two years ago but in fact, the opposite has occurred. They have used the infusion of over 100 billion dollars received under the nuclear deal, not to improve their civil society, but to simply further their quest for regional dominance throughout the Middle East. Therefore, it is incumbent to use the momentum from the upcoming meetings of Prime Minister Netanyahu and President Trump’s at the UN General Assembly to reach out to our Congresspersons in hopes of taking a new direction on the Iran Nuclear Agreement.

Iran’s nuclear weapon program has been vastly developing. Netanyahu will demand for the United States to implement stricter sanctions upon Iran to stay clear of wrongful actions. He will also ask for greater nuclear program supervision, and endeavor to extend the ban against weapons-grade uranium enrichment to more than the current ten years. Hopefully, the centrifuges will be destroyed and the long-range missile program will be eliminated. Iran’s nuclear program poses a threat to not only Israel, but the entire world.

Iran is the largest state sponsor and funder of terror, as it gives to both Hamas and Hezbollah. Iran is now a very dangerous and serious player in the Syrian arena, (Israel’s eastern border), and they are poised to take over just as they have done in Lebanon, on Israel’s northern border. They also have great involvement with Hamas, which lies in Gaza on Israel’s southern border. Netanyahu will demand the United States to end terror funding for Hamas and Hezbollah.

Iran craves regional control and power as they want to rule over Middle East and Africa, and regain their dominance like the previous Persian Empire. They are currently using their monies for Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in Gaza and for funding the war to keep Assad in power in Syria.  Iran is paying foreign Shi’ite fighters to maintain and increase control over large areas of Syria. Their goal is to achieve a Shiite controlled land corridor, stretching from Iran to Iraq through Syria to the Mediterranean Sea. Hopefully the US through UN will enact red lines, stopping Iran from acquiring more territory, or subject them to more sanctions.

With the upcoming meeting, Iran’s growing power can dramatically shift. Iran’s nuclear program poses a threat to not only Israel, but the entire world. Netanyahu will demand the United States to end terror funding for Hamas and Hezbollah. Hopefully the US through UN will enact red lines, stopping Iran from acquiring more territory, or subject them to more sanctions. Iran’s nuclear program poses a threat to not only Israel, but the entire world. Benjamin Netanyahu and Trump must be on the same page with regard to sanctioning and stopping Iran from using their newfound wealth from becoming an even larger state sponsor of terror and stop their expansion into other countries.
