Israel at 78: Some Uncomfortable Truths

Many people are not aware that there is no ceasefire in the Middle East.
There is no more than a ‘hudna’ , which, according to Islamic tradition, can be broken at any time.

Even sincere backers of Israel often have no idea that Israel freed between 1,850 and 4,000 convicted terrorists to get back the kidnapped hostages.

A painful truth:

Not one Israeli or American news outlet has run a single news feature about the wrenching trauma families experience when convicted murderers of their loved ones run free.

Many people have no idea that the Palestine Security Forces, funded by the US, Canada and the UK, set up to act as a peacekeeping force, now train a new generation to kill Jews. The PA, attempting to form a Palestinian State, is recognized by 135 nations.

The PA still refuses to cancel their charter to liquidate the Jewish State, despite agreeing to do so in the Oslo Accords that were signed on December 13, 1993 on the White House lawn.

The US then became a guarantor of these accords.

Many people have no idea that not one of the 135 Palestinian donor nations demands that a possible future Palestinian State cancel its genocidal charter.

Many people have no idea that the PA continues to reinforce its unprecedented law that if you murder a Jew, you get a salary for life, known as “pay for slay.”

Many people have no idea that UNRWA continues to confine Arabs descended from
refugees who left Israel in1948, to the degradation and squalor of life in perpetuity in refugee camps.

Many people have no idea that the Palestinian jihadist curriculum remains unchanged.

They have no idea that while UNRWA closed its schools in Jerusalem, the other 58
UNRWA schools are open for business-as-usual, teaching war with Jews.

Many people have no idea that none of the 67 nations that annually donate $1.6 billion to finance UNRWA, has demanded a change in school textbooks that call for killing Jews and the destruction of the Jewish State.

Interestingly, diplomats at the German Embassy in Israel told us that they have been assured that Palestinian leader Mahmud Abbas submitted the Palestinian curriculum to UNESCO for approval. However, in our confirming this, Abbas’s office stated that he made an appointment with UNESCO to discuss the curriculum.

However, he never showed up.

Confused by these Middle East truths? I am guided by the expression, LET MY
PEOPLE KNOW, coined by Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz, who translated the entire Talmud, whom I learned from more than 50 years ago at the Pardes Institute in Jerusalem.

Too many people simply do not know the truth about the reality of what actually goes on in Israel.

The message from Israel on the 78th birthday of the one Jewish State – Stay informed .
