Israel Cannabis, a biblical prophesy
Israel's advancement in medical marijuana may not go back to Moses's time, but it does have solid roots
I was once told that being successful is easy and fun. The challenge is discovering what it is you enjoy and are good at. Discover that and the rest falls into place.
iCAN, the organization I helped create alongside a fearless visionary leader and compassionate access advocate has, over the past year, evolved into a highly skilled and experienced team of passionate entrepreneurs on a mission to impact the world.
The iCAN team has emerged as a group of anglo Jews from literally the four corners of the planet, individuals who over the last 20 years each found their own way back to the promised land, a group who’ve come together to reveal cannabis as our opportunity to shine a light upon the world.
We set out to build an innovation ecosystem in Israel to unite and showcase Israel’s rich history and bright future in the emerging cannabis economy. Our vision is firmly rooted in education, research and securing patient access to cannabis commercialized for medicine.
We invested all our resources in producing CannaTech in March this year, an investor and innovation summit drawing leading industry players from around the world to hear from Israel’s esteemed scientists, researchers, geneticists and entrepreneurs. The three day event enjoyed international media coverage in every major publication. The word is out, the world now has its eyes firmly fixed on Israel.
I personally spend much of my time on the ‘cannabis is good’ soapbox, dispelling the myths we’ve been conditioned to believe and revealing the incredible opportunities this plant offers for individual health and economic growth.
At CannaTech we announced our partnership with leading Israeli cannabis producer Breath of Life. A partnership conceived as the next step beyond showcasing innovation, a partnership to create an R&D Incubator to support innovators and discover tomorrow’s medicines.
Much has been written about the therapeutic benefits of cannabinoids, much more is on it’s way as trailblazing scientists discover, prove and secure FDA approval for an almost limitless catalogue of treatments. Much has been learned about the human endocannabinoid system and much more is now being studied about how to optimize the plant’s properties and delivery mechanisms to hit the treatment sweet spot.
The Israel Cannabis story began back in the 1960’s, with Professor Raphael Mechoulam’s discoveries and has continued unabated ever since. Israel is quietly known as the epicenter of cannabis research, our group mission is to amplify that message and present Israel to the world.
Together with our rich cannabis R&D history, today Israel is known as a global leader in science, medicine, agriculture, genetics, medical devices, hi-tech and more. All the makings to provide this industry all that it requires to understand, cultivate, process, package, track and commercialize medicinal cannabis.
At iCAN, we want to impact the world, do good and have fun at the same time. I am blessed to be part of an awesome team where dreams become spoken visions and now are becoming reality. CannaTech was our coming out ceremony, our canna-train is on the move, we’re building the tracks as we go in search of the global cannabis economy.
We have come from the four corners to return to our homeland, we find ourselves deeply embedded in a revolutionary game changing industry and we are committed to revealing our country’s endless expertise to help cannabis deliver on its potential.
Israel has the tools to contribute and desire to make things happen.
