Israeli Blood Matters

Following a most inhumane massacre of women and children throughout the villages near Gaza, the world reaction has been somewhat muffled by voices of concern for the Palestinians and their predicament in Gaza. This sentiment has only increased with time and has brought about new threats towards Israel. As in the past, pictures of slaughtered babies and over a thousand Israeli civilians shot at point blank will never reach the world media. Instead, pictures of Palestinian women in distress holding a crying baby dominate international TV broadcasts and newspapers. This regenerates the age-old antisemitism.

Hamas terror leaders were surely aware of the consequences for their deadly attacks. Still, they went on with murdering total communities. Fearing annihilation, Hamas has already demanded the IDF stop its strikes and be more lenient in its retaliation. We cannot allow that to happen. Those who choose to harm Israel need to pay dearly for their choice.

We have been through extremely difficult times in our past and we will ultimately prevail. Thank God we live in Israel, a country that can deter harm to its people and protect them.

Soon we will look back and wonder “what went wrong?” and “how could this have happened?” An obvious answer will emerge. We have been a divided nation. The ever-present protests, which went on for months under the left’s “macho” spirit, desperately tried to dislodge our government. In its efforts, it lost any sense of what they were creating. On the other hand, our leaders were just as blind, confronting and blaming each other for every failure instead of uniting and showing accountability.

Who will come forth to heal the deep wounds which we have created? And when? The nation is ready for a unity government which will bring about a period of reconciliation, a time to rebuild and care for its people.
