Israel’s powerful leverage
As long as the US and Israel were fighting together against Iran, they shared the spotlight as allies.
But now that the US has stopped fighting (and is trying to reach a deal with Iran), while Israel is still fighting (against Hezbollah), the spotlight is on Israel.
As the US withdraws, Israel is emerging as a powerful player. It already has rebuffed suggestions from the US to withdraw from Southern Lebanon. And Israel is just waiting for the opportunity to wipe out Hezbollah.
Although Israel is on the sidelines, and not involved in the negotiations between the US and Iran, nevertheless Israeli actions, and their presence in Southern Lebanon, are going directly against what Iran wants.
Iran is trying to leverage its ability to close the Strait of Hormuz, in order to try to a) force Israel out of Lebanon, b) be allowed to enrich uranium, and c) persuade the US to remove sanctions and unfreeze Iran’s funds.
But Israel is also using leverage. Iran knows that if a deal is not reached with the US, (and so far the US is insisting that Iran not be allowed to develop a nuclear bomb), then Israel might go into Beirut and remove Hezbollah from Lebanon.
Also, if there is no deal, Israel could renew its attacks on Iran, perhaps even with US participation.
Leverage is happening on both sides. In the meantime, Israel is solidifying its position in Southern Lebanon. And the IAI (Israel Aerospace Industries) announced that within a few weeks, they expect to have a solution to Hezbollah’s drones.
The world watches anxiously, as Israel flexes its muscles. Tiny Israel is miraculously standing up to all pressures, as it steadily defeats its enemies.
The times of Redemption with Moshiach seem very close. When evil will be wiped out, and when all the nations will recognize the Almighty’s presence, as He conducts our world and everything that happens by Divine providence.
