THE WAR ON TERROR BEGAN AFTER 9/11 ATTACKS, when the US President, George W. Bush, initiated a still ongoing global military campaign to primarily destroy radical Islamic terrorism rooted in the Middle East region, and areas close to that geography, such as Afghanistan.

This campaign of state-based violence against radical terrorist groups has completely changed the world in which we live—from significantly improving airport security and screening on a global level to establishing the secret practice of global surveillance on citizens, as well as even allowing for the concept of enhanced interrogation, which is considered torture by many—and even affecting what we define as moderate and acceptable theological and political discourse to radical and unacceptable forms.

Basically, the world changed forever after the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. And we are still experiencing the effects of that day, as well as the subsequent actions taken thereafter, such as the massive ground invasions of Afghanistan, and Iraq, and the years long drone strike program in targets throughout Pakistan, Somalia, etc.

On October 7, 2023 Islamic Jihadist fighters launched a devastating attack 15 times bigger on a per capita basis than 9/11 on scale in southern Israel. In this attack Gaza based terrorists attacked Israel firing 3,000 rockets and launching a ground incursion inside Israel killing  1200 Israelis, and even kidnapping around 240 back to Gaza. This attack caused the State of Israel to launch a comprehensive counter-terror war on the Gaza Strip that is still ongoing at the time of this writing. The entire Middle East has changed as a result of this terror attack and the subsequent war against Hamas.

The aforementioned is the concise context for the claim that I am postulating, which is that this global war on terror must continue; and that the State of Israel is the front-line state that is the most capable and confident in dealing a decisive blow against terrorism within the boundaries of the Middle East.

Why?

Because every citizen of this planet deserves to live in peace without any fear of “terror”.

This is why it is so important to support the State of Israel on its war on terror, especially considering the location of this country. Israel is situated in the heart of the Middle East, and the Middle Eastern political and religious landscape inspires terrorism, insurgencies, and war across the world.

If the State of Israel successfully destroys the internationally linked radical militants and terrorists on its borders; there is no doubt that the majority of people in the Middle East, and even beyond the Arab world will see a reduction in terrorism almost immediately. This is well known, since the instability in the areas that are part of and near the State of Israel such as the West Bank, Gaza, the borders with Lebanon, Syria, and Jordan, creates instability all across the Middle East for certain.

As Israel permanently annihilates all traces of terrorism, the Middle East will become an oasis of peace, even in North Africa, and in fact even as far as the regions near and beyond Afghanistan, Pakistan etc. what is known as the “Greater Middle East”.

This is precisely why Israel must be supported to maintain war on terror throughout its territories until peace becomes a permanent reality in the entire world.

The support to the State of Israel must be unshakable and unquestioning; and every weapon formed against Israel must be broken down into pieces, no matter the cost. No price is too high that must be paid in our strong support for Israeli policies and practices and doctrines.

However the question that could be asked is, what kind of war on terror must this be?

In brief, first, deny terror the space it needs to train, prepare, and recruit, and secondly deny them financial resources and lastly, start promoting the truth about them more forcefully in the international media, and destroy the false narratives that support terrorism through evidence-based refutations.

In the broader geopolitical context, strategically speaking, China and Russia will be unable to use the Palestinian issue to weaken the West, if and only when Israel succeeds in eliminating terrorism properly and promptly. Because this issue has become an unbearable pain for everyone and has allowed non-Western and anti-American forces to coalesce and threaten the established world order that post-World War II civilized powers worked so hard to erect. Literally, everything is at stake, and the supremacy of the Western global power is at risk of being fully destroyed by psychopathic and radical forces of terror.

The claim that terror cannot be defeated by conventional military means is a false proposition that does nothing to further the strategic interests of the State of Israel but empowers the fanatical enemies of the Western civilization. And it erodes the strength to stand against evil and terror and violence, just when being strong becomes the most critical element in this war. As Senator Ted Cruz noted in his interview with Fox News, “Israel exists only because it is strong enough to defeat its enemies.”[1]

Not once will terrorists hesitate in wiping out the State of Israel off the face of the map if they could; it is only the sheer strength of Israeli forces that prevents this catastrophe from becoming a fact on the ground.

The entire security of the oil-rich Middle East is at stake in this war on terror, and the State of the Israel is the front-line nation that is defending the Western strategic stake in this part of the world. Undoubtedly, this reality is so significantly strategic that it warrants unconditional support to Israel until all forms of terror are eliminated, so that all of us can live in peace.

If the Middle East does not become free from the reign of terror that has gripped the entire region, the stability of the global economy will become seriously compromised. This is why its so important that the State of Israel defeats terrorism across its own borders and secure the whole world, not just this region alone. Victory is the only outcome that is acceptable, and being defeated means the end of the civilized world.
