JCPA’s Disgrace: Aligning with Israel’s Enemies
In a time when antisemitism is surging and Jewish communities worldwide are under attack, one would expect Jewish organizations to stand firmly in defense of Israel and the Jewish people. Yet, the Jewish Council for Public Affairs (JCPA) has chosen a different path—one of betrayal. Their recent decision to stand with Mahmoud Khalil, a known anti-Israel activist and Hamas supporter, is a disgrace. The so-called leaders of this organization should be ashamed to call themselves Jewish. They are nothing more than political prostitutes, selling out Jewish dignity to appease those who openly work against Israel and the Jewish people.
JCPA is made up of scared, disconnected American Jews who have abandoned Jewish values to align themselves with pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel leftists. Instead of standing with their own people, they have chosen to sell out to those who openly call for the destruction of Israel—all for the sake of political relevance in progressive circles.
Let’s get acquainted with our “hero.” Mahmoud Khalil is far from being an innocent victim of injustice. He is a key leader of Columbia University Apartheid Divest (CUAD), an extremist group at Columbia University that has been at the forefront of radical pro-Palestinian demonstrations. Khalil has used his platform not to advocate for peace but to spread anti-Israel rhetoric, openly supporting Hamas, a designated terrorist organization. He has publicly called for Israel’s destruction, jihad, and intifada, endorsing violent resistance rather than diplomatic solutions. His activism is not about justice—it is about delegitimizing Israel, inciting hatred against Jews, and justifying acts of terror under the guise of human rights. All of this has been carried out under the umbrella of Columbia University, right under their noses.
Khalil, while enjoying the freedoms of the United States and securing himself a green card, has chosen to use his privileged position to attack the only democracy in the Middle East. From the very country that welcomed him, provided him with opportunities, rights, and a comfortable life, he has dedicated himself to bashing Israel and advocating for its destruction. Instead of appreciating the freedoms afforded to him, he has used them as a weapon to promote hate and division. Yet, instead of condemning his actions, JCPA has rushed to his defense, portraying him as a victim of Trump administration while completely ignoring his long record of inciting hatred against Israel and the Jewish people. Their moral bankruptcy knows no limits.
JCPA donors may not realize their contributions are funding antisemitism rather than supporting Jewish interests. Instead of protecting the community or advocating for Israel, JCPA directs money into political activism that aligns with extremists who incite violence and seek Israel’s destruction. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, JCPA is legally bound to remain nonpartisan and limit lobbying. If donor funds are being misused for anti-Israel activism instead of charitable work, JCPA could be in violation of IRS regulations, warranting an immediate review of its tax-exempt status.
JCPA’s public support for Mahmoud Khalil, a Hamas sympathizer, raises serious concerns. If the organization is engaging in political activism under the guise of charity, its 501(c)(3) status should be revoked. The IRS and legal authorities must investigate whether they are violating federal tax laws by redirecting charitable resources into agendas that threaten Jewish security and Israel’s sovereignty.
JCPA’s decision to support Khalil is not just shameful—it is a complete moral and ethical collapse. They have abandoned their duty to protect Jewish communities in favor of gaining favor with those who despise Israel. These people live in their comfortable, detached American bubbles, far from the realities that Jews in Israel and around the world face every day. They don’t hear the rocket sirens. They don’t see their children drafted to defend their homes. Instead, they sit in their elite circles, nodding along as their pro-Palestinian allies justify terrorism and vilify the Jewish state.
When Jewish students are being assaulted and harassed on college campuses for supporting Israel, where is JCPA? When antisemitic mobs chant “Death to Jews” in the streets of major cities, where is JCPA? When Jews are physically attacked for simply existing as Zionists, where is JCPA? Their silence is deafening—but when it comes to defending a Hamas supporter, suddenly, they find their voice.
The Jewish Council for Public Affairs (JCPA) claims to stand for Jewish values, yet their record suggests otherwise. Instead of unequivocally defending Israel, they have engaged in criticism of the Israeli government and actively pushed the two-state solution—positions that are nothing short of an absolute sellout. Rather than standing firm against those who seek to destroy Israel, JCPA bends over backward to appear “balanced” and “neutral” by attacking Israeli policies and advocating for dangerous concessions. This is not leadership; this is weakness. Criticizing Israel’s government at a time when it faces existential threats is a betrayal. Promoting a two-state solution when one side openly calls for Israel’s destruction is appeasement, not diplomacy.
The JCPA has historically positioned itself as a supporter of Israel, yet lately their actions suggest a different reality. Their official stance may emphasize support for Israel as the Jewish homeland, but their repeated attempts to pressure Israel into making concessions to its enemies demonstrate that their priorities lie elsewhere. While they may claim to act in the interests of “peace,” their approach plays directly into the hands of those who seek to weaken Israel from within.
Jewish leadership comes with responsibility—the responsibility to protect Jewish lives, Jewish heritage, and Jewish sovereignty. The so-called leaders of JCPA have abandoned this duty. Instead of fighting for the Jewish people’s right to safety and self-determination, they have chosen to align themselves with those who would see Israel wiped off the map.
They have disgraced themselves, and they have no right to call themselves representatives of the Jewish community. They are not leaders; they are political prostitutes who sell Jewish interests for a seat at the table with Israel-haters. Supporting Khalil is an insult to every Jewish person who has suffered from antisemitism. It is a slap in the face to those who fight for Israel’s survival every single day.
It is time for true Jewish leaders, activists, and organizations to call out JCPA for what they have become — a morally bankrupt organization that has lost its way.
We must make it clear that there is no place in the Jewish community for those who defend anti-Israel extremists. We must hold JCPA accountable for their actions and ensure that their betrayal does not go unchallenged.
JCPA may have forgotten what it means to stand with the Jewish people, but we have not. And we never will.
