Jews, and the world, have changed

It’s not business as usual. Not the same old story.

Used to be, we Jews were at the mercy of others. Now, however, it feels like we are in charge.

The world screamed at Israel for defending itself, but Israel just kept on defending itself, determined to destroy Hamas.

Used to be, Israel was scorned. Now, the nations stand back in awe and respect, stunned by our accomplishments.

The Jews are a holy nation. We have found ourselves; we have reinforced our bond with our fellow Jews and with the Almighty. And He is protecting us with clear and open miracles.

As Trump bombed Iranian nuclear sites, and sent weapons to Israel; as European countries recently threatened to snap back sanctions on Iran if they don’t sign a deal by the end of August; as France’s leader just pulled out of a conference aimed at recognizing a Palestinian state (because reportedly Britain and Canada warned that a unilateral French recognition of a Palestinian state could undermine international coordination efforts with Israel and exacerbate divisions), we are experiencing a different world.

A world where Israel is calling the shots, and world powers are cooperating.

The Book of Daniel, in chapter seven, talks about a time when the ‘high holy ones’ will rule, and all the nations will honour and help them.

Perhaps Daniel’s vision, from two thousand and four hundred years ago, is materializing.

The Redemption with Moshiach seems close by.

May it happen very soon.
