Jews Don’t Hunt

Sure. Esau was a hunter. But we learn as kids not to respect him. Our values reject killing for pleasure. We kill other species for food and we do so humanely. We don’t go on hunting safaris to destroy innocent creatures. It’s just not a Jewish thing. How any human can smile for a photograph while holding the tail of an elephant he has just shot to death is beyond comprehension. It’s really inconceivable to me. What has the elephant done to warrant such an act of cruelty? Nothing at all. Yet, a candidate for president of the United States has raised two sons to be hunters, one of whom was shown in the media holding the elephant’s tail. The candidate is, of course, Donald Trump.

Can you imagine one of your children hunting?  Undoubtedly not.  It’s not a value we transmit  We don’t want to create cruel children.  Hunting is not a value at all.  It’s inhumane.  It’s evil.

Donald Trump has done many many things to disqualify his candidacy for the highest office in the world.  It’s a litany of lying, cheating, insulting, badgering, philandering.  It’s great ignorance and unwillingness to learn. He is deceiving many Americans, and shockingly, many Jews.  You wouldn’t believe this story if I had created it as fiction.  Bombastic television star climbs his way to the US presidency on a ladder of hatred and deception.  So sad but so true.  Some Jews are actually supporting this fraudulent campaign.  The campaign of a lunatic.  An egomaniac.  A candidate who boasts of his sexual prowess on television.  A campaign that belittles and insults the handicapped. War heroes.  The Mexicans. The refugees.

Do you not remember when our people were refugees?  It wasn’t very long ago.  Some of us might even have been dangerous.  America didn’t open its gates to us.  An unforgivable crime against humanity.  Against humans.  Against us.  And yet, here are some of us, in 2016, willing and even eager to commit that same crime against others.  No.  I don’t believe it. I reject it. In the end you won’t vote for Trump.

And your children won’t become hunters.
