Kamala Harris, Israel and the free world
“I am honored to be the presumptive Democratic nominee for president of United States of America” said Kamala Harris when she had enough votes of Democrats to be the party’s hopeful for the presidency of United States of America. If Ms. Harris is successful in her challenge to become the leader of the most powerful country in the world it can have unpredictable and negative consequences for the state of Israel and the free world. After I wrote the last sentence, it hit me that it is a mistake to characterize her behavior toward the free world as unpredictable. it is outright predictable which is evident by Ms. Harris’s double speak when she for example addresses the Israeli Palestinian conflict. Ms. Harris is trying not to antagonize the Jewish Democrats and donors and, at the same time, leaves the hopes of the far left antisemitic wing of the Democratic party alive and well.
At the present Ms. Harris is a Vice President in the administration of Joe Biden, who at times calls himself a Zionist with frequent statements putting it in doubt. At present Biden’s administration is not openly hostile to the state of Israel.
The Democrats push the two states solution into the Israel’s government and people’s throats suggesting the Palestinian Authority as a potential partner in the negotiations. The surveys of the attitudes of the residents of the West Bank show the same hatred of Israel and Jews as the Arabs of Gaza. The indoctrination of the children in both territories, West Bank and Gaza, with educational material based on pathological hatred of Jews produced generations of the adults the negotiations with whom is unrealistic. It is the same as to negotiate with the members of Einsatzgruppen, the SS death squads which the main mission was to kill the Jews in German-occupied Europe. To resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict by negotiating with the Palestinian Authority is like to reach an agreement with Einsatzgruppen to create a Jewish republic, where the Jews would live in peace and prosperity, next to prosperous and peaceful Nazi Germany.
There is other important point to keep in mind: it is not up to US and any other country to dictate how Israelis and Palestinian should decide the issues related to their fate. Kamala Harris, while on the election trail, will tell things completely opposite to the content of the speeches and statements she delivered as Attorney General of California, as a senator of the same state, as a candidate for the 2020 Democratic Party presidential primaries and as the Vice President of the United States. She will tell platitudes such as Israel has the right to defend itself and that she stands with the only democracy in the region. In a second, Ms. Harris will continue to emphasize the unacceptable behavior of the Israeli Defense Forces toward the civilian population of Gaza and West Bank although she knows that Hamas uses the schools, hospitals and mosques as the locations to hide behand the civilian population. Did anyone saw a Hamas fighter in a uniform of a soldier? You can’t distinguish a member of Hamas from a civilian Gazan.
What is said in the paragraphs above is true and relevant but there are two questions that need to be addressed urgently. The Republicans state of euphoria regarding inevitability of their victory on November 5, 2024 might affect negatively the result of the election. And the second issue is the preparedness of the state of Israel in case Ms. Harris is successful in her bid to become the president of United States.
It is true Donald Trump is able to gather thousands upon thousands of friendly and cheering fans on his rallies. The message Trump delivers on these rallies for his bid for presidency is basically the same he was telling during the campaign of 2020 elections. The Trump’s presidency has produced remarkable results that should make Americans proud. Under his administration the unemployment rates for African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans Native Americans, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and those without high school diploma all reached record low. Unemployment for women hit its lowest rate in nearly 70 years. He passed $3.2 trillion in historic tax relief and reformed the tax code. Trump renewed the friendship and alliance with Israel by recognizing Jerusalem as the true capital of Israel and moved the American Embassy to Jerusalem. He brokered a historic Abraham accord between Israel and Arab countries and accepted Golan heights as Israeli territory. These is a small part of upstanding achievements delivered by the skillful businessman and commonsense persona during his term as a president of USA.
On June 27, 2024 during the debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden, Trump was facing an opponent who had difficulties formulating sentences and constantly mumbling. Undoubtedly, Trump won the debate not only in the opinion of the Republicans but, as it was evident by the machinations of the Democrats to remove Joe Biden as a candidate for the presidency, in the minds of the leaders of the opposite party. Trump’s win in the debate created a sense of unshakable victory in the minds of the Republicans. The major TV networks such as ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC and such newspapers as The New York Times and Washington Post, that usually act as a propagandistic branch of the Democratic party, for a short period of time went into silence. But the moment Biden has endorsed Kamala Harris as the presumptive nominee for the presidency the above-mentioned liberal propaganda machine, the mainstream corporate media, began the work of negating the radical past of Kamala Harris.
Kamala Harris is a calculating careerist and opportunist who will dress up her message to cover up her radical ideas. She is a radical leftist politician. The leadership of the Republican party, the news outlets such as Fox News and first of all, Donald Trump himself, should stress this and act accordingly. Instead of making fun of Kamala Harris’s laughs or emphasize the race and ethnicity issues it would be prudent to remind Americans about Kamala Harris’s approval of the Green New Deal which added billions upon billions to the national debt; her opposition to fracking and offshore drilling which lead Californians to pay more for electricity than the national average. In the radio interview in June 2020 Vice President Harris expressed support for ‘defunding the police’. During the 2019 Democratic primary debate, she approved the policy allowing illegal immigration. By the way, she was appointed by Biden to manage the border, to be the border czar, but failed to produce any results. The current Vice President championed for reparation to the black Americans couple days ago as her present presidential campaign kicked off. These are few from many initiatives by Kamala Harris which negatively affect the lives of ordinary citizens. Keeping Americans informed regarding these and many other radical economic and social ideas of presidential candidate Kamala Harris will lead the Republican to victory.
Now imagine that in three months the State of Israel can face Kamala Harris as the President of United States of America. It is painful to think of this outcome, but it is a real possibility. Her attitude toward Israel and Netanyahu might make the Obama’s and his administration disrespect to Jewish state seem like an easy and pleasant time. Kamala Harris and her administration could forcefully push the two-state solution. To enhance their efforts in case of Israeli resistance, Harris would cut the military and economic aid and arms to the Jewish state. She might provide military and other assistance to Palestinian Authority in West Bank and to the militants in Gaza. Harris in” her declaration that the ensuing war post-massacre, carried out by Hamas and Palestinian operatives, ‘is not a binary issue’ should send chills down their spines (the spines of Jewish Democrats). By championing the notion that the two sides are morally equivalent, she made it clear that Israelis should not be counting on the United States to have its back should she prevail in November”.
If she is successful in her bid to become the president of US, Harris’s statement above shows that Israel will face the most difficult time it experienced from the time of the establishment of the Jewish state in 1948. Benjamin Netanyahu was able to maneuver and lead the country during the challenging times of Obama administration. With Kamala Harris’s possible presidency Netanyahu faces an openly hostile toward Israel American administration whose attitude will encourage the Iran and its proxies to double their efforts to destroy Israel. Many things can happen in US and Israel during the coming three months. One thing is certain, with the possibility of the Kamala Harris’s presidency, you can’t demonstrate weakness when dealing with the radical leftist politicians.
