Keep Your Eye on the Ball
I have been pondering the recent worldwide upsurge in antisemitism. Not just run of the mill antisemitism on the fringes, but what has become mainstream. It has become a litmus test of the Democratic party and has even taken hold in some of the extreme right wing of the Republican party.
On college campuses and in the streets, demonstrations have often become violent.
Many will tell you it is because of the so-called genocide that Israel “perpetuated” in Gaza. The same people ignore the actual genocide declaration of Hamas.
Let’s look at who is committing genocide. According to Wikipedia:
The Covenant of the Islamic Resistance, referred to as the Hamas Covenant or Hamas Charter, was issued by Hamas (the Islamic Resistance Movement) on 18 August 1988 and outlines the organization’s founding identity, positions, and aims. In 2017, Hamas unveiled a revised charter, without explicitly revoking the 1988 charter.
The original Charter identified Hamas as the Muslim Brotherhood in Palestine and described its members to be god-fearing Muslims raising the banner of Jihad (armed struggle) in “the face of the oppressors”. The 1988 charter defines the struggle to be against the Jews and calls for the eventual creation of an Islamic Palestinian state in all former Mandatory Palestine, and the obliteration or dissolution of Israel. The charter has been criticized for its use of antisemitic language, which some commentators have characterized as incitement to genocide, with the charter explicitly calling for the killing of Jews. Hamas’s 2017 charter removed explicitly antisemitic language and stated Hamas’s struggle is with Zionists, not Jews.
So, since its founding in 1988, Hamas has been promoting rhetoric and policies aimed at destroying the Jewish state of Israel and killing Jews and Israelis around the world. It remains true even after Hamas released a new charter in 2017, which simply swapped the word “Jew” out and replaced it with “Zionist” while repeating antisemitic tropes. Remember, Hamas has not explicitly revoked the 1988 charter.
The official definition of genocide, established in Article II of the 1948 UN Genocide Convention, is any act committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial, or religious group.
So, Hamas’ declaration “obliteration or dissolution of Israel” exactly fits the definition of genocide.
Furthermore, in Hadith 1767 Jews are singled out to be punished for rejecting Mohammad and Allah. Mohammad declared: I swear by Allah that I will expel the Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula. This was a thousand years before the State of Israel, “Occupied Territories”, etc. In fact, he was not even referring to Jews in Israel at all, but to the Jews and Christians living in the Arabian Peninsula. This is not anti-Zionism. This is antisemitism and anti-Christianism. This is the definition of genocide.
UN officials warned of babies dying by the thousands in March 2024, the IPC projected famine in northern Gaza by the end of May if fighting and severe aid restrictions continued. By June, its own Famine Review Committee found the evidence did not indicate famine.
In fact, according to Gaza’s Hamas-run Health Ministry’s own figures, nothing resembling the mass-mortality footprint those warnings suggested: no surge in nonviolent deaths from hunger, disease, or other indirect causes.
In the year of the UN’s warnings, Gaza’s infant mortality roughly matched Egypt’s peacetime rate of 16.1, and both its rates sat below the global average.
Hamas, with every incentive to inflate these numbers, reported only 455 malnutrition deaths across nearly two years of war, fewer than Somalia’s famine killed in half a day at its height.
The population of Gaza has increased over the past several years.
Has anyone called out Hamas as a genocidal terrorist group? How many demonstrations are there against the genocide taking place in other countries? Some of these real genocides are performed by Muslims (Somalia, Sudan, Ethiopia, and Yemen).
So why is Israel specifically accused of genocide?
This is a classic example of misdirection. The Oxford definition of misdirection refers to the deliberate release of wrong information in order to stop people from knowing the truth about a situation. Have everyone follow the decoy when the actual ball is being hidden. Accuse the Jews so no one will pay attention to the Arabs.
Why was Israel already accused of genocide on October 8th even before it made any moves into Gaza? Why were the anti-Israel, antisemitic demonstrations so well organized so quickly?
This is because Muslim countries such as Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Turkey have funded organizations that are inherently antisemitic and anti-West. These countries are joined by countries like Russia and China. They all fund universities and establish data centers to pump out anti-Jewish, anti-West lies. Today’s artificial intelligence only repeats what is prevalent on the internet. When these countries flood the internet with lies, AI absorbs them as the truth. To quote Joseph Goebbels the Nazi Minister of Propaganda, “If you repeat a lie often enough, people will believe it”.
So why is Israel accused of genocide?
They want us to take our eye off the ball while they are undermining our culture and society.
As I wrote in a previous post (It Is Now or Never):
According to Wikipedia: In classical Islamic law, the two major divisions of the world are dar al-Islam (lit. ’territory of Islam’), and dar al-harb (lit. ’territory of war’). Dar al-Islam denotes lands under Islamic rule and dar al-harb denotes lands under non-Muslim rule. Muslims regard Islam as a universal religion and believe it to be the rightful law for all humankind. According to Islam, this should first be attempted peacefully. In the case of war, Muslims are imposed to eliminate fighters until they surrender or seek peace and pay the Jizya (tax levied on non-Muslim subjects) if subdued.
In other words, until the entire world is under Islamist rule and law, Muslims are instructed to fight “non-believers” until death. In fact, if the Muslim dies along the way he is awarded 72 virgins in heaven.
This implies that Russia and China are not immune.
Once again, I do not claim that all Muslims support Islamist violence. I do claim that the Islamist movements threatening Israel, Europe, and the United States draw their justification from specific religious and ideological interpretations that continue to attract followers despite decades of bloodshed.
Look at what is happening in Europe today.
In 2006 Muammar Gaddafi proclaimed: “We have fifty million Muslims in Europe. There are signs that Allah will grant Islam victory in Europe—without swords, without guns, without conquest—will turn it into a Muslim continent within a few decades.” Two decades later, while Gaddafi is no longer alive, see what is happening in France, Italy, Spain, England, Scandinavia and the rest of Europe. Look what is taking place in the United States, in places like Michigan, Minnesota, New York, etc.
All the talk about a Two State solution is another distraction.
Another question has any Arab or “Palestinian” entity proposed a plan for a Palestinian state? They obviously are not interested in a state. They merely want to destroy the Jewish state and wipe out all its inhabitants.
How do I know they are not interested in a state? They have been offered a state of their own at various times, 1947, 1967, 1993, 2005, to mention just a few. Did they ever respond positively? No, they rejected every offer. They are only interested in the destruction of the Jewish state.
Slogans like “Globalize the Intifada” or “From the River to the Sea” are manifestation of this genocidal desire. Did you notice that the Palestinian flag is being waved in the riots in Paris and the rest of Europe? Did you see the kafiyah wearing protestors?
When a former president of the United States, Barack Hussein Obama, says something inane, like Jews who sought refuge from persecution “took land off people” and “were excessive” while he distorted Jewish history of more than 3,000 years of Jewish ties to the Land of Israel. This is just another effort to distract us from what is really happening.
Incidentally, this is the same president who made the following statements:
- Islam has a proud tradition of tolerance.
- Throughout history, Islam has demonstrated through words and deeds the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality.
- The United States is not, and never will be, at war with Islam.
- The sweetest sound I know is the Muslim call to prayer.
- We will encourage more Americans to study in Muslim communities.
- We will convey our deep appreciation for the Islamic faith, which has done so much over the centuries to shape the world – including in my own country.
Islam is tolerant? Tell that to gay gay people who were thrown off roofs or hung from cranes. Or the Christians and Jews who have been taxed and murdered.
Muslim prayer sounds sweet? You mean the part where they say “Allahu Akbar (God is the greatest)” which is what they say together with “Itbah al-Yahud (slaughter the Jews)” when they murder the Jews like they did on October 7th?
Why would you encourage more Americans to study in Muslim communities? So that can they be influenced by Islamists?
I am not quite sure how Islam has shaped the world for the better over the past centuries.
My point is clear. Israel is not the only target. It is only the first target. Europe, the United States and all non-Islamiist countries in the dar al-harb are the targets. And they won’t stop until they achieve their goal. It is the tenet of their religion. And they are fully invested in fulfilling that commandment. Remember the chant “Death to America, Death to Israel”. Notice that America is first. Or the Houthi’s (a Shia Islamist rebel group in Yemen supported by Iran) slogan: “God is Great, Death to America, Death to Israel, A curse upon the Jews, Victory to Islam”.
We need to stop this trend immediately before it is too late. We need to strengthen our western Judeo-Christian values. We need to encourage the more reasonable and moderate Islamic voices to be heard, and taught to others, and followed.
It is imperative that we KEEP OUR EYE ON THE BALL!
