Chaplin’s The Great Dictator should be remade as The Greatest Dictator.
A kind, impoverished, Mexikayan barber happens to be a lookalike of fascist dictator Donnerwetter Rund.
During the Farawaystan War, as an anonymous private, fighting in the army of the United Gates, toward the end of the war, the barber happens to save an officer, Grayham, but suffers amnesia when their plane crashes into a tree. In the mental hospital, he is unaware of the changes in the outside world. So, for instance, he doesn’t know that Rund has become the dictator of the United Gates and is ruthlessly persecuting the immigrants with special help of two of his ministers, Offence and Killer.
When he returns to his barbershop downtown, to his surprise, nothing seems the same anymore as at the beginning of the war. He doesn’t even realize for how long he’s been away. So, he’s taken by surprise when Rund’s stormtroopers smash his store windows and make his life miserable.
At first, they have comparative peace because Grayham, who has become prominent, recognizes his savior, the barber, and orders the stormtroopers to leave him alone. Then, when Offence needs a haircut, he temporarily ceases his persecution of immigrants. But when the barber refuses to serve him, Offence takes up his racist activities again, with a vengeance.
At the same time, Rund is preparing to invade the neighboring country of Mexikay. When Grayham questions if this is a smart move, the Dictator throws him into a camp. But Grayham escapes, and downtown, he tries to incite a revolt. Then, both the barber and he are taken to a prison camp.
To prepare for his invasion of Mexikay, Rund invites to his palace Tinpu, Dictator of Chlamydia to ensure he’ll support him. The invasion is fruitfully completed. The Greatest Dictator takes a vacation to celebrate his success. Meanwhile, Grayham and the barber escape. In the search for them, vacationing Rund is arrested by his own soldiers, who take him for the barber, and Grayham arranges that the barber is mistaken for the Dictator.
Realizing the importance of his new role, the barber cooperates with the deception, and, now dressed as Rund, in a heartfelt, spontaneous speech before a sold-out stadium of United Gaters and broadcast live around the world, he denounces all of Rund’s positions in a rousing plea for kindness, unity, and democracy and condemns hatred and oppression.
The barber and dictator should look like Trump.

Like most of his readers, he believes in being friendly, respectful, and loyal. However, if you think those are his absolute top priorities, you might end up disappointed. His first loyalty is to the truth. He agrees that in a post-truth world, that's irrelevant, but then this is for the record. Chronologically, his most influential teachers are his parents, Nico (natan) van Zuiden and Betty (beisye) Nieweg, Wim Kan, Mozart, Harvey Jackins, Marshal Rosenberg, Reb Shlomo Carlebach, and, lehavdil bein chayim lechayim, Rabbi Dr. Natan Lopes Cardozo, Rav Zev Leff, and Rav Meir Lubin. This short list doesn't mean to disrespect others who taught him a lot or a little. One of his rabbis calls him Mr. Innovation [Ish haChidushim]. Yet, his originalities seem to root deeply in traditional Judaism, though they may grow in unexpected directions. In fact, he claims he's modernizing nothing. Rather, mainly basing himself on the basic Hebrew Torah text, he tries to rediscover classical Jewish thought almost lost in thousands of years of stifling Gentile domination and Jewish assimilation. He is a fetal survivor of the pharmaceutical industry (https://diethylstilbestrol.co.uk/studies/des-and-psychological-health/), born in 1953 to his parents who were Dutch-Jewish Holocaust survivors who met in the largest concentration camp in the Netherlands, Westerbork.
