Make peace not war!

For the first time ever, Iran has directly attacked Israel using drones, ballistic missiles and cruise missiles. This attack has been widely condemned around the world as completely unacceptable. It is deeply disturbing to observe Iranian MPs on TV cheering an attack that clearly failed, which only reveals their complete disconnection from reality.

It is now important that Israel chooses a sober response and resists the urge for revenge. After several days filled with anxiety and uncertainty, it is time to restore calm and put the conflict with Iran on hold. Iran, which is far from Israel, has nothing to gain from a war against Israel and its allies. Neither Israel nor the international community benefits from an escalation into a major regional conflict.

As Jesus taught us, “If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn the other also.” It is time to choose the path of peace, a path that avoids further violence and seeks different solutions.

An eye for an eye makes us all blind!
