Man’s brutality to man or woman?
I am addicted to radio. As soon as I get up in the morning after slipping on some clothes of course, the next thing I do is to switch on the radio, in my kitchen.
I think that this stems from childhood. During World War Two, the only means of electronic communication, was radio.
We had no choice but also, to listen to Lord Haw Haw an English traitor. He, and many of his peers, like the powerful Mitford family and even the short term King of England David, were supporters of Hitler. Had the German army crossed the 20 odd miles of water separating the British Isles from France, I would not be writing this blog!
There were also German propaganda broadcasts as well as, the dramatic and frightening news of the pull out from Dunkirk when every little fishing or pleasure boat was put out to sea to bring our Tommies as they were called, back to safer shore. How proud we were to be British!
So as usual as I write and listen, Karen Neubach is interviewing an interesting of array of speakers.
Starting with a story of a brutal domestic attack, then the sick story of the Australian Rabbanit Liefer, who is to be sent back to stand trial in Australia for sexually abusing girls in her charge. Followed by, expert opinions on why the coronavirus is getting the better of us rather than, being defeated by the methods in place.
Thinking of WW2, the typewriters at that time were made by a company called Corona. It stems from the word crown of which one would think of the embellishment of Royal personages. Everyone who is around my age will never forget the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth the second and still currently the Monarch of the United Kingdom.
How great it would be if Israel were a United something.
The weird thing about Israel is, that most of its citizens whether they be Jew, Moslem or Christian want only to live here. I am one of them.
Demonstrators who are exercising their democratic right in saying “Prime Minister step down. You have failed us” are being beaten up. I am simply appalled.
On opening my Facebook page today I found a cute picture of a friend with his newborn son. Every policemen was once a new born son.
Last night, as has become my Corona habit, I watched a series on Netflix called “Stateless.”
The brutality of the Aussie guards against these pathetic stateless, homeless people was horrific. It brought to mind the stories of German Jewish refugees whom the British sent to Australia to get them out of the way, as it were. They too had experienced severe brutality at the hands of their captors!
Brutality is everywhere.
In the USA while in Tallahassee I stayed in an area called French town. All the residents were Afro-American. I was told by the student daughters of my very dear friend that everyone was living on social security. Yet outside almost every house there was a poster saying “Jesus loves me” or words to that effect.
So at the end of the day, I ask myself what is wrong with humanity. If we are all God’s creatures why so much of “man’s inhumanity to man” not to mention women!
