Matti Friedman On Media Bias Against Israel

Matti Friedman, the former AP reporter, who has written about media bias against Israel in The Tablet and The Atlantic, expanded upon his views in a speech in January. I write this short blog to bring that speech to your attention. The text of his speech can be found in the link below.

The ideological roots of media bias against Israel

Mr. Friedman writes eloquently, intelligently, and comprehensively. What he has to say is important and should be shared as widely as possible. I would think that media personalities who engage in the kind of criticism of Israel described by Mr. Friedman, such as Jodi Rudoren of the New York Times, as well as academics and members of NGOs who also engage in disproportional criticism of Israel, would feel a responsibility to respond to Mr. Friedman’s articulate essay. I look forward to reading their views and to an intelligent conversation on this important subject.
