Miriam Edelson, ‘Yisrael Hayom’ in NYC: Where are you and I Here 12/9/2025?

Miriam Edelson is the Las Vegas trillionar-widow who inherited ‘Yisrael Hayomm, the newspaper freebee that may be read by more Israelis than all other newspapers here put together. She’s Tzabareet-medical-doctor with all the trimmings: bright good-looking and a composite of stamina chuzpa and pioneering invincibility.

This week she took her newspaper to new heights in NYC conference with thousands of American Jews,Yordim,and Israeli brass- the works- participating:dubbing it the opening of the national vaad to deal with antisemitism and the defence of the Jew in the world… and considering the far reach of the experiment, intending to attract not only our luminaries but journalists, lay people of interest,this is something to watch. To her editor-in-chief Omer Lichminovic his paper is telling America the real guts story of what is going on here. But why is it that only I because I get a freebee am the only writer responding to it…not this paper nor NYT or even the Forward…..for me that’s a good sign but I’ll still watch for more.

Meanwhile what’s happening in the Knesset, the legislation to dismantle our Courts, the pressure to make IDF an impotent schoolboy, the brutality we see our police using; these past weeks ‘Rabbis For Human Rights’ had been fighting for the human rights of farmers making a living…harvesting their crops..I feel it so morally low, as it touches the birth of the world, of beginnings and fundamentals …. that farmers should be unable to harvest their crops…this has never even been a plot for story…have you seen or heard of it before? it feels as though civiization is deserting us, and it is, for it’s two years now since we’ve wittnessed the intensification of our destruction….and now it’s winter and there’s an excuse again for not going out into the street!!

Is it Igal Amir? Are we afraid of them?The answer isn’t to leave for we’re one people, a nation, wherever we go the world asks us to answer for our brothers……except for ths narrow group whose leaders know otherwise and instead propagandize that we’re a floating religion answerable only to God who has special favors for us because we’re special people…..we’re Kosher that makes our lives more important. Even Miriam Edelson in her feeble attempt to impersonate the founding fathers has dropped the ideas of our infantile age.
