Mohamed Hadid is Fake News

Mr. Mohamed Hadid, the famous Los Angeles real estate developer, has recently tweeted to millions that the “Zionists are the terrorist (sic) in our own land”.

What does Mr. Hadid mean by “our own land”? After all, he is a quintessential American businessman. And though he claims to be a Middle Easterner, I question his credentials.

I work in Jerusalem and count among my friends a number of Hadid’s co-religionists. They know something that Hadid is either repressing or is just completely ignorant of: The Quran is explicit about who are the stewards of the Land of Israel:

“We (Allah) gave the persecuted people (the Children of Israel) dominion over the eastern and western lands (East and West banks of the Jordan River), which We had blessed. Thus was your Lord’s gracious word fulfilled for the Israelites, because they had endured with fortitude.” (The Quran, Sura 7:137).

My Jerusalem friends would shudder at the thought of owning nightclubs, as Hadid did at the beginning of his career. And what would happen were he to take a leisurely stroll through East Jerusalem, Shechem, or Jenin with his pampered super-model daughters and son? Why they wouldn’t last two minutes. No self-respecting resident of those communities would ever allow, let alone encourage as he does, their children to dress so immodestly.

Hadid may be an American success story. Yet he refuses to accept that the Nation of Israel, as foretold by the holy books of the three great Abrahamic religions, is returning to the Land promised to them by the Creator of the Universe as an eternal inheritance. At the core of Islam, Christianity, and Judaism, this process is happening in our own times.

Were Hadid to open his eyes and see things as the Middle Easterner he claims to be, he would accept that the return of the Jews to Israel is for the good of the world. In the words of the great Hebrew Prophet Isaiah, Israel is destined to be the “Light of the Nations”. How pleasant it would be if Hadid and those like him would stop their childish name-calling and cease playing the victim.

Grow up, Mohammed. The triumphant return of the Nation of Israel to its blessed homeland is just getting started. You can fight it, or you can come to terms with the inevitable. The choice is yours.
