and G-d surrounds His nation

Now

Forever

From the time of Abraham, the first Jew, enemies have tried to destroy us.

In the Passover Hagada we say: “In every generation, they stand against us, to finish us off. But the Holy One blessed be He, saves us from their hands.”

And when we say this, we open the door to greet the prophet Elijah.

Elijah went up to heaven alive. And he will bring us the good news of salvation, of comfort, of Redemption.

In every generation, they try to finish us off.

But, as the psalmist sings (Psalm 125): Jerusalem — mountains surround her; and the Almighty surrounds His people, now, and forever.

By Divine providence, Trump — who was miraculously saved from assassinations, and who later went to visit the resting place of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, and later won the election, and went on to stop antisemitism and to support Israel — Trump allied with Israel to kill Khamenei and to destroy much of Iran’s weaponry; and now he is working on a deal to neutralize Iran’s terror threat.

Israel bounced back, against enemies armed to the teeth. Israel stood up against the world who condemned Israel’s efforts to defend itself. And now the world sees, that Israel is saving the world.

Just as mountains surround Jerusalem, G-d surrounds His people.

Redemption seems very close.

May it happen now.
