My prayer for the New Year (FYI… it’s a song)

Sometimes we don’t want to write…we just want to sing…

Because what we want to say comes from such a deep place inside of us that only through song can it truly be communicated…

And only through song can it really be heard…

So here’s my first blog of this new year…my first prayer…my first song…

For a world that it simultaneously filled with so much beauty…yet is so wounded and broken.

For a world that shines bright with light…yet can seem so dark.

For a world that knows how to stand together in times of need…yet is still so deeply divided.

For a world that dreams the greatest dreams for its children…yet still perpetuates the worst nightmares imaginable.

May this year be a year in which the Jewish vision of global peace and redemption becomes reality for all people everywhere.

Because, as the song goes…The. Time. Has. Come.

Click away and have a listen…and maybe even sing with me:

Shanah tovah!
