Netanyahu continues his damage

Netanyahu continues to damage Israel

Yes, the airstrike, obviously carried out from Netanyahu’s orders, killed leaders of Hamas. Is there anyone who believes that this will bring an earlier end to this 2 year war? Is there anyone who believes that this will help Israel’s diplomatic crisis?
Israel has been killing the leaders of Hamas for the entire war. The “whack a mole” game is the best analogy; kill one and another pops up. It is clear to all but Netanyahu’s circle that killing the leadership is near meaningless: there is no message to the world; there is no softening of peace terms; there is no lessening of new recruits for Hamas; there is no release of hostages; Israeli soldiers continue to die; the Israeli economy continues to suffer; the internal damage to Israel grows.
Israel is in a profound diplomatic crisis. Major countries are siding with Gaza and the Palestinian Authority. Israeli exports, including food, materials, and artistic, are being boycotted. These actions reflect the beliefs of hundreds of millions of people and these beliefs will be passed to children and persist for several generations. Even now, if you are an Israeli Jew who wants to travel, to where can you go in safety?
The above is understood by everyone. One effect is certain; It will poison relations between Quatar and Israel and seriously damage relations with that part of the Arab world which has publicly stated understanding of Israel’s predicament. It will lessen access to Hamas to continue negotiations.

What kind of a strategic world is Netanyahu now inhabiting? This man, a strong intellect, able to articulate issues with great clarity, seems now imprisoned by a self-constructed fence. He correctly led Israel to its great victory against the Iranian axis but has squandered the moment. In Israel, he has changed his support from people who are at the forefront of artificial intelligence for those living in the 5th century. He has not stated his obvious position: that the lives of the hostages are less important than the defeat of Hamas; he refuses to recognize that Gaza is Hamas. He is squandering Israel’s resources and has no plan for concluding this war nor for rebuilding the country.

From hutz l’aretz, it is impossible to understand that there is no majority opposition in the Knesset that will force him out.
