New York City: This is what you voted for

Mamdani is a vocal supporter of the boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) movement, which seeks to eliminate the world’s lone Jewish state, afloat among a sea of 53 Muslim states. He accused Israel of committing genocide, he referred to Israel as an apartheid state and said he would arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He refused to repudiate the slogan “globalize the intifada,” which is a call for a war against all Jews, not only Israeli Jews. He also stated at a Democratic Socialists of America conference that “we don’t need an investigation to know that the NYPD is racist, anti-queer, and a major threat to public safety.”

As if all that were not bad enough, Mamdani’s grotesque threat to block Jewish students from studying in Israel and hinting that former Congressman and anti-Israel activist, Jamaal Bowman, could be his choice for NYC’s next schools’ chancellor, is chilling.

You may recall, Bowman said Israel was founded on “White Supremacy.” As chancellor, Bowman would further poison a generation of NYC children against Jews and Israel, which is already a severe problem in the city’s public schools.

According to Israeli Diaspora Affairs Minister Amichai Chikli, Mamdani’s rise to prominence in New York “began with the anti-Zionist atmosphere on Columbia, NYU, and CUNY campuses.” The election of a politician who considers Israel a genocidal and apartheid state does not bode well for the Jews of the city. Years of indoctrination of Marxist ideology by our educational system has spawned a cadre of Jews who support him.

Jonathan Greenblatt, CEO and national director of the ADL, stated that because“Mayor-Elect Mamdani has promoted antisemitic narratives associated with individuals who have a history of antisemitism and demonstrated intense animosity toward the Jewish state,” the ADL will be setting up a “dedicated New York City citywide antisemitism tipline.” The tipline will be an “early-warning research into policies, mayoral appointments and funding decisions coming from City Hall that could impact Jewish community interests.”

Kinder souls than I can find good in the worst scoundrels. They have assured me that Mamdani cannot be all bad, after all he promised to provide free bus rides.
