Not brave and not a hero…

The murder of a child is something most of is can never imagine doing. Children are precious to us and we do everything we can to protect them.

Hamas and Fatah are praising the murderer, who was killed by Israeli police, as a “hero” and calling his “actions brave”.

He was not brave. He was not a hero.

He was a killer of an innocent baby, a little girl, 3 months old.

Hamas and Fatah are showing us all how little they respect the life of Israelis. It is “ok” to kill Israeli babies, yet they will cry to the world when they force civilians in Gaza to stay in the line of fire and get killed. It is “ok” to kill Israeli babies, yet they will cry to the world after they execute hundreds of Gazans for being collaborators with Israel.

One would expect Human Rights Watch director Ken Roth to be horrified at the murder of a child. During the recent Gaza/Israeli conflict, he tweeted multiple tweets about how the loss of life of Gazans was terrible (and it is). But, when he tweeted, it was nothing about the tragedy of the loss of a child, but that they were “settlers”. I guess Mr. Roth is also ok with the murder of an Israeli baby.

I am not ok with this. I am not ok with anyone dying. It does not matter if they are Israeli or not. Someone loses some they love and care about. Seeing these people care so little almost makes me cheer the terrorist’s death, but I am not that depraved or evil, unlike Hamas, Fatah and Mr. Roth. I still have feelings for others, no matter who they are or where they live.

I pray that one day this struggle will be over and lasting peace will be achieved. But, I am no longer sure if that will ever happen, not as long as Hamas and Fatah  are allowed to commit acts of terrorism like this.
