October 7 and Redemption
Mordechai Ben David sang a song called “Hold on.”
It was addressed to Sharansky, who was imprisoned in Soviet Russia.
“Hold on just a little bit longer…”
At one point, the music becomes joyful: “I have good news to tell you Moshiach’s on his way…”
Sharansky was freed, together with many. The Soviet Union collapsed. Just like that.
On October 7, nightfall descended. We have seen many miracles since then, but for many the darkness is still here.
And since we are all one family, we feel the pain, and the darkness.
And the words of the song come to mind: I have good news to tell you …
Moshiach. Our people have longed for Redemption.
When loved ones will become alive, and reunite with us.
Can you imagine the joy? The laughter? The overwhelming happiness?
I have good news to tell you.
Moshiach. We are almost there.
When the night becomes day.
May it happen very soon.
