October 7, Hamas attack on Israel and Bataclan massacre in 2015 are connected.

October 7, 2023, Hamas’s attack on Israel and Bataclan massacre in Paris in 2015 are committed by radical Islamists.

On November 13, 2015, the group of Islamist terrorists, French citizens, slaughtered 90 Bataclan theatre concertgoers in Paris. It has been ten years since the horrible event, but French people are still deeply hurt by the tragedy. The passionate, at the same time, profoundly analytic and extremely informative article ‘in the name of Bataclan’ shows this concern. The article by Lars Soller should be a mandatory reading for governments of European countries.

What connects the October 7, 2023 attack of Hamas terrorists on Israel to the Bataclan theatre massacre in Paris and many other atrocities committed by the soldiers of Islamist ideology of Muslim Brotherhood, is the belief of the perpetrators of these crimes in doing God’s righteous job to spread of the Islamist power and to submit the population of the world to their will.

What unites the survivors of the terrorist’s attacks in Israel and France and, also, the people indirectly affected by it, is the desire to get the answers why the horrible events happened and was it preventable? Many in Israel wandering why it took up to 8 hours for Israeli Defense Force (IDF) to respond to Hamas’s invasion? The documentary ‘The Road Between US: the Ultimate Rescue’ follows the retired Israeli general, Noam Tibon and his wife Gali, who were on a mission to save their son’s family from Hamas murderers. The general, while driving, was commenting that the roads leading to Gaza border were empty. It is reasonable to assume that Noam Tibon, an experienced retired senior IDF officer, was expecting the column of armored personal carriers and tanks heading to Kibbutzim on the border with Gaza Strip. He encountered regular IDF troops only many hours after the initiation of the attack.

Reflecting the prevailing bias of the Westen cultural elite toward Israel struggle for its existence, the documentary ‘The Road Between US: The Ultimate Rescue’ was first pulled from this year ‘s Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). This testimonial to Israeli courage and resilience was reinstated and it won the festival People’s Choice Award for Best Documentary. Israeli retired general, Noam Tibon and his wife Gali, overcame ambushes, roadblocks and failing security system, against time and enemies, rescued their son Amir, his wife and their two young granddaughters.

Many in Europe, especially in France, are puzzled by the government officials use of euphemisms and denials instead of trying to identify the real enemy. “France’s public response-ritualized mourning, candlelight’s vigils, and peace marches-seems unable to rise to the level of the threat. The shadow of Bataclan “raises the question of whether France sill believes in itself-in its right to survive as a distinct civilization rather than as a neutral administrative space”.

More than thirty years ago, Samuel P. Huntington, a political scientist, academic and coordinator of security planning for USA National Security Council, wrote a book called ‘The Clash of Civilizations and the Remaking of World Order’. He postulated that future conflicts would not be wars between countries. The determining trend of the coming time, he theorized, will be the confrontation between cultures, with Islamic civilization becoming the greatest threat to Western liberal democracies. It seems that Samuel P. Huntington’s book should be another indispensable source of wisdom for the leadership of the countries of European Union.

The marching with the slogans of peace, lighting candles are actions which are commendable and moving. It affects the souls of decent and common-sense people. However, these human’s expressions of solidarity with the victims of terrorism will have no effect on the thinking and actions of radicalized Muslims. “Yet, they also conceal a form of denial: a refusal to accept that France is engaged, whether it wishes to be or not, in a civilizational struggle. The Islamist militants, who targeted the Bataclan, Charlie Hebdo or Jewish supermarket in Vincennes, were not ‘madmen’ or ‘isolated extremists. They were soldiers in a self-declared war against the West”.

Like the hatred of Jews, Israel and Western values starts from kindergartens and schools in Gaza enclave, the radicalization of Muslims in Europe happens when they become separated from the civil life of the countries they live in. Defying the intent of multiculturalism, many urban areas of European cities are populated only by Muslims who disregard the laws, values and traditions of the country they supposed to accept. The same as Palestinians in Gaza, the Muslims of Europe from young age hear from the radical clerics as well as online that they need to be loyal to the global Muslim community only, not to the country they chose to immigrate or were born there. The voices they hear are calling to punish the Western world for disrespect to the Prophet and to eliminate the godless Western civilization.

Before the October 7, 2023, some segment of Israeli population, including government officials, were under illusion of coexistence (not peaceful one, but still coexistence) with Hamas. After the October 7, 2023, Hamas’s treacherous invasion and horrific episodes of barbarism, the people of Jewish state, including the government of Benjamin Netanyahu, came to realization that the only way to deal with the terrorist organization is its eradication.

In Europe, the governing elite are persuading a dialogue with the radicalized Muslims in hope to appease them and, consequently, to change their behaviors.  The European governments lack the courage to acknowledge the existential threat of radical Islamism to Western civilization way of life. “ The tragedy is that Islamist terrorism continues while Europe-and France above all- continues to misunderstand it” and “The  jihadists  do not hide their motives, they proclaim them in every video, every manifesto: to avenge insults to the Prophet, to establish  the rule of God on Earth, to destroy the infidel civilization that mocks divine authority”.

While visiting the capitals of Europe: Paris, London, Brussel, Stockholm, Copenhagen and Oslo, the pessimistic thought overtakes your mind-the moment to redeem the situation and save the Western civilization in Europe is gone. The radical Islamists are here and, with unrestricted immigration from Muslim countries, their number will just grow larger.

I have only one piece of advice to the European elite and to all people of The Continent-look up for example to the State of Israel’s fight for Western civilization and follow it.
