Of What do our Holy Thoughts, Words and Deeds Consist?

Of What do our Holy Thoughts, Words and Deeds Consist?

(Torah Portion Emor- Leviticus chapters 21 – 24 v.3)

Of what do holy thoughts, words and deeds consist?

To do that which is right at the right times,

For the right reasons with the right intentions

During which the ego is set aside.

Thereby, thoughts, words and deeds become enshrined,

Registered in the annals of time and space,

In the sanctuary of our being,

Contributing or diminishing our flame.

It lights the sanctity of our presence

In this sphere and dimension of our lives,

By which we make time count rather than count time.

Therefore, we count in ascension of numbers

To Shavuot, the receiving of the Torah,

After the Passover liberation

To the ethical imperatives of Torah

To help repair the world in justice and

With compassion.
