On the Death of Karen Diamond, Z”L
So interesting how editors pick the wording for headlines. A lot of the articles about the death of Karen Diamond are headlined “82 Year Old Woman Dies of ….”, “Boulder Woman, 82, Dies…” Her name was Karen Diamond. Say her name. I’ve been saying it in my head for days.
Karen was allegedly murdered on the streets of Boulder, Colorado (I suppose I have to say allegedly here) by a hateful, jihad-obsessed, anti-Jewish, anti-Zionist, anti-human who disguised himself as a gardener so he could get near enough to attack her group, Run for Their Lives. He targeted them for holding a weekly walk to express support for the hostages dragged to Gaza’s tunnels by Hamas and others on October 7, 2023 who are still waiting to be returned to their families and their friends. Twenty hostages who are presumed alive are being used as protective shields by Hamas in its dungeons — underfed, beaten, caged and tortured. Another thirty have been murdered, but their bodies are being held, denied burial. Hamas, Islamic Jihad and others in Gaza took 250 hostages in all on that “Black Sabbath” and murdered some 1,200 others, with many of the killings preceded by sadistic rapes, burning, and torture. That’s on background to what happened in Boulder, Colorado on June 1, 2025.
The fact that Karen and her group sought to remind the public of the plight of these hostages in Gaza was excuse enough for that monster to decide to kill them. Am I allowed to say monster here? I think I should be. That’s what people become when they get so filled with whatever vicious agenda has possessed them that they no longer see anyone who isn’t on “their” side as a human being and those who are on “their” side only as tools to be used for the “cause”. It often gets even worse if they believe God is on “their” side. Hamas’ Sinwar brothers were outstanding examples of the breed. So was Osama Bin Laden. The list, unfortunately, goes on.
Disguised as a gardener, the alleged terrorist got close enough to the walkers to be able to deploy the DIY flamethrower he had constructed along with the first of the Molotov cocktails he had carefully prepared and transported to the walk site for the attack from his home, located one and a half hours’ drive away. Karen Diamond was very severely wounded. Thirteen other people and a dog were injured, and — I speculate, due to the level of trauma also involved — charges pending now name 29 victims. Karen died of her wounds after a long period that I have to believe involved intense suffering both for her and for her family and her loved ones. I wish her peace, and her family and friends healing. May her memory be for a blessing.
The man facing charges for this brutal attack is reported to have said that he wanted to “kill all Zionist people” and was screeching “Free Palestine” during the attack. He also told investigators that he had been planning the attack for a year, and that he would do it all over again.
There is absolutely nothing that can justify this level of brutality. This was an act born of a mind utterly corrupted by an obsessive worldview lately celebrated on the campuses and in the streets of the United States, the UK, France, Germany, Holland, Australia and many other places under the slogan “Globalize the Intifada”. People who think it is the latest in high fashion virtue signaling to run around with a keffiyeh on (get yours today from Amazon!) screaming that slogan interspersed with another all-time favorite, “From the river to the sea” may as well just come out and start screeching “Murder, death, kill!!” because that is what they are calling for.
The “intifadas” involved crimes against humanity like fire bombings of buses and restaurants, shootings, stabbings and using cars to ram into people waiting at bus stops. Unless that is what everyone in the US and elsewhere want to have happening in cities and towns on a fairly regular basis, here’s a call to action. Mealy-mouthed evasions and bromides about “human rights” and trying to deflect and confuse the issue functionally only make room for more violence and more justifications of violence. Condemnations of verbiage (especially to the Jewish press, like this is a matter for “just between us folks”) is definitely not enough. Save lives–starting now. Don’t let Karen’s death be in vain. DEFUND THE GLOBAL INTIFADA.
That’s more than a shout out to you, Al Thani family, rulers of Qatar and owners/controllers of the global Al Jazeera propaganda network. That’s more than a shout out to you, George Soros and the Open Society Foundation. That’s more than a shout out to you, Susan and Nick Prtizker, heirs to the Hyatt Hotel chain.
Blood is being spilled on the streets, and there will be more. DEFUND THE GLOBAL INTIFADA. NOW.
