OpenStack Israel interview with Rackspace’s Kevin Jackson

The OpenStack community in Israel has been growing from year to year, and boasts an annual attendance of more than 400 technical professionals.

On June 15,  OpenStack Israel  takes place in Tel Aviv where there will be diverse tracks on everything OpenStack – from compute, networking, and storage, through hands-on workshops and even an unconference that discusses real world stories.

I recently had a chance to interview Rackspace’s Principal Cloud Architect, Kevin Jackson, who is also the author of the OpenStack Cloud Computing Cookbook, who will be joining us.

In addition to the wonderful speakers and keynotes, there will be two tracks with 12 great technical talks on Compute, Networking, and Storage as well as OpenSource projects, Operations, and Orchestration.

There will also be three 90-minute workshops that will get you right into deploying and automating with OpenStack.

OpenStack got its start in 2010 as joint project with Rackspace and NASA and is now managed by the OpenStack Foundation.

Since then, more than 200 major industry players such as AT&T, Cisco, Dell, EMC, HP, IBM,  Intel, Red Hat, VMWare, and many others with a presence in Israel have embraced OpenStack.
