Our words in daily life and before an election

Must be measured and put through thirteen filters,

With a space between two thoughts, words and deeds,

As each utterance is recorded in the annals of being.

 

The gallery of portraits and album of scenes

Of our life journeys remains imprinted;

And cannot be erased for the pain, falsehood,

Exaggeration and destructive outcomes caused,

 

Whether solely to one or many persons.

Can we bear to watch the reruns of all our acts?

The exact income tax of our souls fills itself out

With either a tax return or consequences.

 

Multiple versions of scenarios must be envisioned

Before our scripts are pronounced on life’s stage.

 

The world was created with words.
