P.E.A.C.E.=Shalom – Episode One – Toward A Lasting Peace

Since I have written eight Blogs named – G-d’s Master Plan, I came to the realization that in the future, I will let G-d take over and decide what that plan should be. One of my main goals was to interpret worldwide events which can help pave the way to peace.  Therefore, the main theme for this series of future Blogs is Peace.  It is like a series of puzzle pieces, that when taken together, help to achieve the ultimate goal of peace.

One thing is for sure; that we definitely need a peace plan. One that not only involves the Middle East; but the rest of the world.  A plan which eliminates all violent terrorist and other related attacks, wherever they may occur.

In the title of this Blog series, I am using both Hebrew and English words to bring home a point.

If I use each letter of the English word Peace, then I can come up with the following phrase-

P – Peace means

E – Each

A= Adult and

C = Child are

E = Equal

The US Constitution clearly states that all men and women are created equal.  And once this basic right of every human being is violated, then peace is difficult to accomplish. We are all created to make this world a better place, and we should strive to follow the path of peace and truth.

If I use the Hebrew word of Shalom, then the message is simple because Shalom also means Hello and Goodbye. It is easy to form a peaceful relationship when all parties are willing to negotiate from the very beginning, until their negotiations end. But without that mutual respect for each other, then no peace will endure.

The word Peace is defined as – a state of tranquility or quiet.

Or between governments – a state or period of mutual agreement.

But obviously, in order to sign a peace agreement with the Palestinians, Israel must have peace within its own government. And as I am writing this, news comes that for the first time in Israel’s history, the mandate to form a governing coalition is now in the hands of the Knesset. If 61 lawmakers sign their support for a fellow MK to form a government over the next 21 days, that person will be tasked with doing so. If not, the country goes to the polls once again.

And this just supports the chain of events that have made the year 2019 so unique in many respects. There is no need to do a year-end review in this Blog, Times of Israel has done a great job keeping you updated.

The story playing out in Government that requires ballot after ballot to decide on our next Prime Minister, just proves that we have not learned our lesson from past tragedies. Because when Israel was faced with all of the major wars which led to Israel’s survival, Israel stood together, helped each other and found a solution for whatever problem Israel was facing at the time.

Think about the Entebbe rescue that brought the State Of Israel and all of its people together. That was clearly a miracle. And it was a magic time when all Israelis stood together as one nation. And Jews also stood together throughout the world.

Do we need another miracle for this to happen today?

Now is the time each Party should strive to make peace with one another, and not delay this process any further.

It is bad enough to have the worry about those missiles hanging over our heads, peace must come from within.

This is the first step toward a lasting peace.
