Patty’s Story, The Righteous Convert: The Quest to Find the Divine
Imagine a young girl named Patricia Jesusa Romero, who was born on Christmas day. Despite the occasion, she never quite felt a connection to the holiday that shares her birthday; and neither with her middle name.
Growing up as a Catholic in Lima, Peru, surrounded by all things Spanish Catholicism, she was inculcated with teachings that scorned a certain People and Religion, the Jewish one.
At the age of ten, she immigrated to a new country and attended a Catholic school where these negative perceptions were reinforced.
Despite being raised in a culture where beauty was highly valued and celebrated through dance, music, and festivities, Patricia felt a growing urge to seek truth and uncover the divine. Her soul was calling her on a quest to find her true self and discover the true religion, despite being taught to distrust and dismiss it as rebellious and sinful.
Patricia’s heart and soul remain chained, telling her that these negative views are false and that the thing most hated and feared is actually the source of all that is good, truthful, kind, just, and holy.
Despite the challenges she faced, she was determined to follow her heart and soul, no matter the cost.
Join Patricia – Patty Sarah Daliah – my beloved wife – on her journey as she unravels the mysteries of the Divine and uncovers her true self.
