Payback Time For Sderot

The New York Times has posted picture by a Danish reporter of Israelis standing on a hill outside Sderot to watch and cheer the bombardment of Gaza by the Israeli Air Force.

There's a poetic justice in this scene after 14 years of Palestinian terrorists firing rockets and missiles at the Israeli town near the Gaza border, including in recent days.

“The hill has been transformed into something that most closely resembles the front row of a reality war theater," said a Danish colleague. When the Israeli bombs strike their targets, he reported, “cheers break out on the hill, followed by solid applause.”

The picture, taken with an iPhone about 9 pm last Wednesday, has gone viral in the social network.

The photographer, veteran journalist Allan Sørensen, said he had previously witnessed Palestinians cheering news of bombings that killed Israelis.
