Poetry is More than a Slight Exaggeration Except in the Book of Lamentation
Poetry is more than slight exaggeration:
it is exaggeration taken to extremes,
causing those who are prosaic consternation
since all ideas are spoken as if were dreams,
requiring an interpretation, thus allowing
each exaggeration to become the seeds
of what, once there’s been lots of literary plowing,
turn into signs that help those who are deaf lip-read.
