Popular YouTuber Candace Owens believes that Jews control the media, kidnapped Christians on Passover and are responsible for almost all of the evil that exists today.

As a political commentater, Candace Owens previously hosted a show for the Daily Wire, Ben Shapiro’s media company. However, she was fired last year after clashing with Shapiro over the Israel-Hamas war, and after he accused of her antisemitism.

Since then, she launched her new podcast called ‘Candace’ which now has 3.5 million subscribers on YouTube, and is currently the 4th biggest in the US.

On average each episode is watched by at least a million people, and with her growing influence it’s hard to ignore her when she spreads crazy conspiracy theories.

For example, she’s repeatedly claimed that French President Emmanuel Macron is secretly gay and his wife, Brigitte Macron, is actually a transgender man who abused him as a child.

Whilst most people would dismiss this as absurd, Candace’s influence has helped spread and legitimise this conspiracy theory; the Macron’s have found this hard to ignore and recently threatened to sue her.

Somehow, this is one of her tamest conspiracies. Her antisemtic theories are even more extreme.

She claimed many times that there’s a cult, mainly ran by non-religious Jewish people, that secretly control the world. Among her accusations:

  • Jews historically murdered Christian children on Passover
  • Israel was created as a “safe haven for pedophiles”
  • The “Zionist media” routinely defends criminals
  • Jews control the media and punish those who don’t support Israel
  • Zionists are trying to assassinate her

To back up these claims, Candace Owens references a cult which was started around 250 years ago by someone called Jacob Frank, a self-proclaimed Jewish messiah who taught his followers to break moral boundaries. However, the cult was wholly rejected by the Jewish community and, at the time, excommunicated its members.

By all historical accounts, the cult died out by end of the 19th century. Despite this, the cult has been revived as a tool to demonise Jews.

Candace believes this cult not only exists today, but has become a powerful force which is now the center of all evil. She claims that non-religious Jews mainly run this group.

Candace – who has a combined social media following of over 15 million – continuously spreads these conspiracy theories to her audience.
