To President Trump, VP Pence, Secretary Haley, and Secretary Pompeo,

Your support of Israel is also support for the 14 million surviving Jewish people in the world. Without your accomplishments in the middle east, the United Nations , and the European Union, the situation that developed during the Obama years could be very dire for American Jews today. You have shined a spotlight on decades of cynical fraud perpetrated against the Israeli people by many of the countries in the world, including the United States, and the UN and EU. You have unraveled artificial institutions designed to give American taxpayer money to people in the Middle East for subsistence, because their own leaders have no interest in the well-being of their people. You have put an end to the piñata-like mistreatment of Israel by the various institutions at the United Nations and have called out the inflated number of “refugees” by as much as tenfold to deceive well meaning people. And you have withdrawn American financial support which Israel’s antagonists have no right to because they are unwilling to even acknowledge the legitimacy of the state of Israel. Those antagonists mistake the generosity of American taxpayers for entitlements, even as they condemn their benefactors.

Please don’t be misled by the incomprehensible number of American Jews who continue to support a Democrat Party that welcomes far too many anti-Semites and by Jewish organizations and institutions that have let the Jewish people down. You may ask how is it that the American Jewish community has found itself in this situation. Frankly, I’m not really sure I know all of the layers and tentacles. I only hope that all Jewish people will examine their role in this situation for themselves during this holiday period In the context of the sacrifices made by their ancestors and by their hopes and dreams for their progeny. Thank each of you for all that you do for Jewish justice. You are all truly mensches.
