Preservation of life

This is an open letter, an urgent plea and demand to MKs Gafni, Goldknopf, Deri, Degel HaTorah, Shas, Agudah, all the religious political organizations, all the rabbis and their “Askanim” and all their supporters.

Gentlemen, you have the power, if you choose to use it, like magic, almost like a miracle, with just a word, to stop all the madness. It’s a matter of “Pikuach Nefesh,” the Preservation of Life on our borders and in our cities; and as nothing is new under the sun, also for the Jews outside of Israel going back and forth from shul, synagogue and temple for the Passover Holiday. Antisemitism doesn’t need excuses or reasons whether we play into their hands or not. What we need are governments and their law enforcement agencies that trust and respect us and most importantly, still care to protect us. Immediately, before more people are hurt or killed. Not politics or court overhauls, criminal cases, broken oaths, not power or prestige, not money or mitzvah, except one; …save one life it is as if you saved the entire world. Sanhedrin 37

Please appreciate the seriousness of the situation! Hezbollah, Hamas are on the borders watching, and on this side of the border, Ramadan, Pesach, Easter and Ben Gvir. God is in charge, but your Boss, Israel’s shamed leader and worst enemy is exhibiting serious judgement and prioritization issues and is endangering Israel and the Jewish people. As long as you keep him in power, he is your Boss, you share the shame and the blame. It is your moral imperative and theist obligation as Jews, individually and as a community, nothing should deter you from action.

Jews, Israelis are not bullies. We have been bullied for millennia by almost everyone. We are not them. Thank God and thanks to the people, we are no longer bullied by anyone, except now, unbelievably by our own. How stupid!

Most of you know and probably use from time to time the expression; Si Paasstt Nisht as a gauge and guide for situations or one’s behavior. It refers to speech, actions, behavior that some would consider: questionable, inappropriate, unacceptable, embarrassing, shameful, so others God Forbid shouldn’t see.

With the obedience and collusion of the religious political parties, Netanyahu zoomed past ‘si paasst nisht’ many years ago. Today, is it a shtruf fin Gott or from Gafni?

Doesn’t it seem to be the case that most often, those that tell you; “go learn”, really don’t know. Such is the impression from MK Gafni. He says he wants us all to learn Torah.

I have some comments and a few questions. Firstly, it’s a great suggestion, too bad he doesn’t really mean it.

My first question is; may I learn other things as well? Practical things that I would need to know in order to live, maybe even survive in the modern world, or information and knowledge that I hope would be enriching and inspiring, but I’ll only know that after I learn it

Next question; who will be my teacher? Gafni? Right now, he can’t teach me or anyone Torah. Maybe he can recite verse by heart and shokel with the best of them, but he shows no respect or fear of Heaven! If he did, he would not and could not be party to the rampant, harmful and distasteful violations occurring today. It’s so disappointing.

All religious will say that all the Scriptures from the first ‘bet’ of Genesis to the last word of The Chronicles are just as relevant today because the messages were and are written for all time, by One who is timeless. Many of the religious, as in the secular community, have no idea what they are talking about, but they talk, like I try to write. However here and now, they may have a point.

It’s not part of the 5 Books, we’ll get there as well. It’s to be wondered, and not in a good sense! Haven’t any of the religious politicians in this Kirkasnesset ever read Psalm 1? As if King David, wrote it for right now:

Psalm 1

Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers,

What is the difference between “the wicked” and “sinners”? It’s a given that we are all sinners now and again, us and our ancestors, so we profess on Yom Kippur, but the wicked commit a very grave sin as their counsel leads and causes others to sin.

Once you plug in your own and the other appropriate names and actions, are you one of the wicked or a sinner? Either way, sitting in the dust and wearing sack cloth would be a good start.

Giving MK Gafni the benefit of the doubt that he momentarily or completely forgot, please be reminded. “Echatae VeAshuv – Lo Achapare” You can’t negotiate a one-sided deal with yourself, by sinning now for what you decide is a supposed greater good with the plan to repent afterwards. “The end justifies the means” doesn’t work, it’s prohibited because it’s a bad plan, you could drop dead with all the evil you gave to the world and that’s in your soul without the chance to repent or repair. For whom is Gafni taking this chance, sacrificing himself? God, Netanyahu, Toldos Yitzhak?

God probably doesn’t want or need a sacrifice, especially just before Easter, too Christian. And Toldos, once they realize how they’ve been deceived, would tear him to shreds if given the chance. Unfortunately, I am sorry to say, Gafni hasn’t shown great intelligence or integrity until now, but even he must know that Netanyahu would sacrifice him in a snap if it serves his purpose. Why live this way?

Netanyahu’s only purpose is not to go to jail. He cares about absolutely nothing else, not the lives and wellbeing of the people, nor the face and reputation of the State, not the Torah, or any law attributed to God or man. Here and now, he knows that when in prison, everything is lost. All gone, left in the charge of a hysterical wife and a failed abortion for a son who paints pictures of his tiny parts doing his business on the Court House wall, if he’s not institutionalized or incarcerated as well. Netanyahu will no longer be able to control his family, his empire and his secrets. He understands that whether he dies in prison or in bed at home, there will be a line to do their business on his grave and his name and legacy can never be rehabilitated. So he doesn’t care, because he has nothing to lose.

On what are legal systems in the Western hemisphere based on, if not the Bible, the Torah? In every courtroom, on the wall behind and above the Judge’s bench; IN GOD WE TRUST. In the Old Bailey, it’s God Save the King. When he has the opportunity, what self-portraits will the idiot apparent paint of the Rabbinical Court?

The source(s) or reason(s) for Netanyahu’s wickedness are irrelevant; the burning question is why he and his family still have your support?

In politics worldwide, the more ‘one hand washes the other’                                                    the dirtier everyone’s hands become. Doc3-Preservation

In Israeli politics, it’s an expected and accepted tradition, practically a mitzvah.

Netanyahu and the religious political Parties have made it into a fine art. Everyone, including the religious see how the uber-chuchem religious Parties and Partners, Netanyahu’s friends and allies in their great greed, not by their design, yet with some poetic justice nonetheless exploit Netanyahu’s need and extort more and more; not at Netanyahu’s expense, only clal yisrael’s. And everyone sees that at the same time, the religious and the religious Parties are partners in crime, co-conspirators to the debasement and sacrilege of the Torah, and the laws of the State.

Thank God, and thanks to the People of Israel, Netanyahu along with his dysfunctional family and coalition are exposed. No more fig leaves.

How about I teach some Torah?

Devarim (Deuteronomy) Chapter 16

18You shall set up judges and law enforcement officials for yourself in all your cities that the Lord, your God, is giving you, for your tribes, and they shall judge the people [with] righteous judgment.
19You shall not pervert justice; you shall not show favoritism, and you shall not take a bribe, for bribery blinds the eyes of the wise and perverts just words.
20Justice, justice shall you pursue, that you may live and possess the land the Lord, your God, is giving you.

It’s clear that in the recent period, this has been a much quoted passage. Extremely personal and relevant to me are that; 1) Shoftim is my Bar Mitzvah Parasha and 2) I had the privilege to fulfill this Edict and served as a policeman in Jerusalem for a few years. How dare you insult God, the Torah, cheapen Jerusalem, me and the thousands of honest, very hardworking police men and women with a criminal like Ben Gvir? Why do you agree to Netanyahu’s vengeful destruction and corruption?

Devarim (Deuteronomy) 17

16 The king, moreover, must not acquire great numbers of horses for himself or make the people return to Egypt to get more of them, for the Lord has told you, “You are not to go back that way again.” 17 He must not take many wives, or his heart will be led astray. He must not accumulate large amounts of silver and gold.

18 When he takes the throne of his kingdom, he is to write for himself on a scroll a copy of this law, taken from that of the Levitical priests. 19 It is to be with him, and he is to read it all the days of his life so that he may learn to revere the Lord his God and follow carefully all the words of this law and these decrees 20 and not consider himself better than his fellow Israelites and turn from the law to the right or to the left. Then he and his descendants will reign a long time over his kingdom in Israel.

The king is not Netanyahu, that’s too obvious, and it’s not Egypt, it’s Poland. The rosh yeshiva was the king, the rabbis, his court. Not so much room for horses or really what to do with them, so they took students into the yeshiva instead. It started there and it was brought here. Herds and hordes of black stallions or so they think of themselves because this is what they’ve been told. In reality, battalions of lemmings all fitted with blinders missing out on so much of life. MIA’s for themselves, their families and .the rest of society.

MK Gafni, in every Knesset, including this hateful atrocity, you knowingly lied every time you swore allegiance to the State of Israel. Your attitude, behavior clearly shows it.

The religious political parties take by threat and force and are “given” much more than is their fair share of the money and the opportunities that belong to all of the citizens of Israel, especially considering that it’s the other citizens who keep filling the kitty with their taxes. But the most vicious and harmful larceny, one that can never be returned or redeemed is from your own constituency. You and the flag waving rabbis and religious politicians, leaders; ‘vuzvuzim and frenkem alike, you rob them of their vital years today and their and their children’s futures.

What do you tell them, that it’s for Tikun Olam? You’re pulling the shtreimels and sheitels over their eyes. How can you fix anything if you never leave the yeshiva? Perhaps God is expected to do the tikun?

Why is nothing fixed? The others didn’t pray or study at all and we didn’t pray and study enough. But now we have the opportunity to pray more and study more, as long as we close our eyes, ears and minds to the truth and keep our mouths closed, except for prayer and study, and they’ll pay Us the Rebbe Gelt.

The reality is religious parties are promoting and fostering a selfish, misanthropic isolationism with no regard for the state or for any of its people.

Unfortunately, it seems to be the case, people often exaggerate, meaning, they go too far. For example, our here and now is so far past any rational behavior that even the most ardent believers, easy-going and the most ostrich-like non-confrontational are frightened, saddened and hurt, therefore becoming angry and mobilizing.

Ask Gafni.

Nobody is calling anybody a worm, that’s the expression. Perhaps it tries to depict an organism, not picking up his head, just crawling along, that should raise its head now and again. The vast majority in the Haredi community are like the son at the Seder Table who doesn’t know enough to ask; so he depends upon his elders who are commanded to guide and teach him, but the wicked use this trust against them, keeping them and their children in poverty and ignorance, generation after generation, and using God as their Authority to do so.

A serious Tikun is needed, but right now, immediately, so we can all have a Blessed Pesach; Stop Netanyahu. Help us all; be part of this great nation. There is nothing more urgent now, nothing more important at any time than the Preservation of Life. There could be nothing more beneficial at this time than basic Menschlichkeit and a bissel Yiddishkeit.
