If I said that Einstein didn’t understand physics, would you start doubting him? To say that Yang doesn’t know what he’s talking about almost automatically humiliates the speaker. Andrew Yang always knows what he’s talking about. I would paraphrase the dispute like this:
Yang: President Trump offers a 1.8 trillion dollar COVID-19 relief–take it!
Pelosi: But most of it goes to the super-rich.
Yang: It doesn’t need to be perfect. Money is needed now. Take what you can get and run.
Pelosi: We want negotiations for more legitimate urgent rights to be included and not to have a deal for Trump just to brag about.
CNN: Is that what the problem is, that it shouldn’t make Trump look good?
Pelosi: Why do you always take the side of the Republicans?
As soon as someone in an argument uses the word ‘always,’ rationality has stopped. They may still be right but they’re not speaking with the voice of reason. It’s absurd to blame CNN for ‘always’ representing Republicans.
It’s also an outrage when any politician takes personal offense when a journalist scrutinizes their position. That’s the job of the free press!
Pelosi has done immeasurable good to the American People. But it might be time for some new blood. As Yang says: Not left, not right, but forward.
I believe Andrew Yang. I hope he will be President Harris’ VP.
