Slowly but surely
Israel is finishing off Hamas and Hezbollah, slowly but surely.
Iran is shaking. They are losing their proxies in Gaza and Lebanon; their missile and drone attacks on Israel were neutralized, and their air defences were destroyed. Reportedly, Israel bombed an Iranian factory which designed plastic explosives, something Iran needed for the purpose of detonating nuclear bombs.
In the past, Iranian leaders have tried to project an appearance of strength, in order to control their proxies, and to intimidate their populace. Now Iran’s army appears weak. And the incoming US administration is expected to impose strict sanctions on Iran, thus further weakening the regime and hampering its ability to fund and spread terror.
When was the last time Arab countries used their military to defend Israel? When was the last time the US moved aircraft carriers and submarines into positions to defend Israel? Of course they are protecting their own interests, to prevent escalation etc. Nevertheless, we are seeing a wondrous display of Divine intervention, as G-d influences leaders and orchestrates events to protect Israel.
Opposition parties in Israel are trying to overthrow the government, by attacking Netanyahu and by riling up demonstrators. But Netanyahu forges ahead, undaunted, determined to win this war.
And Israel’s enemies abroad seem to be losing face. South Africa, who had brought proceedings to the International Court of Justice, alleging that Israel was blocking food and aid to Gazans, are now doing exactly that to illegal miners in South Africa. European leaders who had accused Israel of hate crimes, witnessed a recent Jew-hunt in Amsterdam. The ICC prosecutor who urged the court to issue warrants against Israeli leaders, is now being investigated for alleged misconduct. And the incoming Senate majority leader just issued a warning, that if the ICC persists in issuing those warrants, then Congress will sanction the ICC.
Many university presidents, who had allowed anti-Israel demonstrations and encampments this past summer, are now clamping down, as they are afraid of losing government funding. A proposed rally in Mississauga (a suburb of Toronto, Canada) meant to glorify assassinated Hamas leader Sinwar, has reportedly been cancelled. (Interestingly, the mayor of Mississauga, who had originally allowed the rally to proceed, seemed to actually compare Sinwar to Nelson Mandela — although, after an an outburst against her, she said that she had only mentioned Mandela allegorically, and wasn’t comparing him to Sinwar. One wonders what South African leaders would say. At any rate, after Israel’s foreign minister intervened, the rally was canceled.)
Slowly but surely, Israel is winning. By being strong, by showing a determination to fight, and by declaring clearly that they will not give away any land, Israel is adding deterrence, which discourages terrorists and which eventually will bring peace and tranquility, so that no future wars need to be fought, thus saving lives, including Arab lives.
The future looks bright. Israel is proceeding on the just path. The world is seeing that they are powerless to stop Israel. And nations are learning what true morality means.
The world will soon be a place of peace, where evil is gone, and kindness prevails. It will be a world where everyone will be more aware of G-d, and more appreciative of how the Jewish people are bringing benefit to all humanity.
Redemption seems close. May it happen very soon.
