So many things happening

Biden says one thing, Trump says another, Harris says a third thing. The left say their opinion and the right say their opinion. It’s hard to figure out what’s going on. Sometimes we just need to rise above all the opinions, and to think in terms of what makes sense, and what the Torah says.

It makes sense that Israel is now engaged in wiping out Hamas. Israel is trying to avoid war with Hezbollah — it remains to be seen what will happen. Iran is not finalizing production of a nuclear weapon because it would invite a bombing run from Israeli stealth aircraft and possibly also US involvement.

It seems that there is somewhat of a status quo right now. Netanyahu gave a very strong speech before the joint session of Congress and received tremendous applause. Not all members of Congress were there, but a vast majority did attend. Netanyahu made his case very strong and just.

The world keeps yelling at Israel, but Israel continues to do what they feel they need to. Ultimately world leaders realize that Israel is protecting the whole world, not just Israel.

G-d watches over the Jewish people. “Behold the Guardian of Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps” (Psalms 121; 4) “Constantly are the eyes of G-d your G-d on it (the land), from the beginning of the year to the end of the year.” (Deuteronomy 11; 12) “Israel, trust in G-d, He is their help and shield.” (Psalms 115; 9)

Israel knows after October 7, that it’s not enough to have a sophisticated army, but what’s needed is that the army’s efforts should be successful. And when the Jewish people strengthen their identity with G-d and with each other and promote unity — which is what happened to a tremendous degree after October 7 — this opens wide channels to receive G-d’s blessings that Israel’s efforts should be successful.

The Jewish nation is now acting prudently by wiping out Hamas and by declaring clearly that they will not give away any land for a Palestinian state. It’s just plain common sense, and this is also what the Torah prescribes.

G-d loves his people. G-d’s people love each other, and the nation of Israel is determined to do what’s right to defend Israel and thereby to bring peace to the entire world.

Very soon we will witness the Redemption, a time when the entire world will acknowledge G-d, as the prophet says that during that time “the world will be filled with knowledge of G-d just as the waters cover the sea.” (Isaiah 11; 9)

A time when our departed will become alive again in this world, in physical bodies. And there will be much rejoicing, and happiness, forever.

May it happen very soon.
