Sonnet for Bereshit: Creation

Torah Parsha in Verse- 5784

Sonnet for Bereshit- Creation

The mystery of creation defies;

It unfolds every day before our eyes.

Every sunrise and sunset born anew;

Each revelation, astounding, true!

All humanity, last in creation,

All set in ultimate preparation.

As is a child’s room awaiting its birth,

The garden, its home, bestowed with G-d’s mirth.

The land, the oceans, fauna and flora,

Decorated and sculpted, told by the Torah,

Mountains, valleys, deserts, plains dance a Hora.

The cosmos illuminates with G-d’s aura.

The Psalms recount and thank with hymns of praise.

Do we acknowledge with acts and voices raised?
