StandWithUs Brazil: A National Phenomenon
StandWithUs Brazil has established itself as one of the country’s most significant phenomenon, emerging as a true success story in the institutional and media landscape through its work on education about Israel and the fight against antisemitism.
The organization is led by Executive President André Lajst, alongside Debora Sutton Chammah, Director of Education, and Sabrina Abreu, Director of Communication and Culture.
In addition to its work with educational institutions across Brazil—both public and private, from early childhood education to universities—StandWithUs Brazil also engages with major media outlets. Lajst and other members have been interviewed by Globonews, Record, SBT, CNN Brasil, Jovem Pan, and BandNews.
Their participation in public debate extends to opinion articles published in leading newspapers such as O Globo, Folha de S. Paulo, O Estado de S. Paulo, Zero Hora, Poder 360, and Ranking dos Políticos.
On social media, the organization’s and the executive president’s profiles attract thousands of followers, who gain access to firsthand information and analysis on issues related to Israel and the Jewish community in Brazil and worldwide. Instagram profiles: @standwithus_brasil and @andrelajst.
StandWithUs Brazil also operates on other fronts, with a team of distinguished professionals including:
- Augusto Lerner, Institutional Relations Manager
- Bruno Bimbi, Political Strategy Manager
- Hana Nusbaum, Education Manager and Coordinator of the Holocaust Education and Memory Center
- Igor Sabino, Content Manager
- Matheus Alexandre, Academic Production Specialist
- Victor Oliveira, University Education Manager
Since 2025, the organization has produced the original podcast Levante, hosted by journalists Caio Blinder and Felipe Moura Brasil, together with Professor Samuel Feldberg, who also serves as Academic Director of StandWithUs Brazil.
With new episodes every Tuesday on YouTube and Spotify, Levante analyzes the latest international events, always focusing on their impact on Israel and the Jewish community.
The program also brings a touch of irreverence with segments like Levante a Copa, which connects the world’s biggest football event with international news.
