Strength from Israeli Jewish heroes

We have been bussing all over Israel for business meetings, saw ourselves in the security cam, felt like paparazzi, we were spotted out and about.

One of the amazing experiences of living in Israel is the diversity, and also feeling that we are a tribe, always there for each other. We all live in our own bubble, with our careers and families, yet Am Yisroel Chai is felt more than ever in the land. Social media has given us all access to connect to each other. Even with my own friends and family, I may not have time to talk or visit, but I am able to keep up with their lives and see “live” how they are doing. Social media has also connected many of us with brilliant and creative Zionists, which is so needed right now. We have to stand tall, loud and proud in this world of misinformation, ignorance and parroting.

Hillel Fuld is a leading Israeli voice on everything Israel, from politics, to actual real time updates, to fun places to visit and eat. He has given many of us words to share and battle with as we confront hate and narratives about Jews and Israel. He kindly and openly reaches out to his brothers and sisters all over the world, offering advice, connections and gives us strength to do our part. I had the opportunity to meet him with my husband, and his energy and experience are fascinating, and I am so grateful for his time. I had a chance to thank him on the one year anniversary of the https://nas.io/the-inner-hilz community.

Jerusalem has free events for the summer, and I was excited to go see Netta Barzilai perform at an outside venue with food trucks on the promenade. She was so much fun, and it was interesting to see families with kids of all ages, including babies. My daughter went with her friend, and I enjoyed hanging out with my oldest son.  Earlier this week a new friend invited me to hear a band singing Ofra Haza, and it was magic.

Israel is full of life, and it is fun to people watch. The evenings are cool and it feels so good to be out and about. It is important to be focused on livelihood and using our voice for showing the world all about Israel and the Jewish people. It is also important to figure out how to release, relax and even dance away the intensity or our times and of our lives. Figuring out ways to balance, restore and recharge is essential to stay healthy in body and mind.

Feel Good and Have Fun!
