Sunlit clouds
As the sun sets, it casts a fiery glow into the clouds.
The clouds remind us of the rain that falls.
The green trees grow from the rain.
The sun shines, giving light and warmth.
And the sky. Blue. Above us.
Trees don’t grow on just any planet. They grow on our planet.
We, the people, look above us, around us.
We look at our world in awe and fascination.
Food that grows. People that breathe. And a blue sky, above, reminding us to look higher.
What are we to make of all this? Where did it all come from? Where is it headed.
Where are we going?
It’s a good question.
And the answer, is to look above.
At a blue sky. And at green trees below.
“And you shall know this day, and take it to heart, that the Almighty is the Lord, in the heavens above, and in the earth below — there is nothing else.” (Deuteronomy 4; 39)
