Ten Progressively Morally Bankrupt Members of Congress

Imagine that instead of being governed by Justin Trudeau and the Liberal Party (and before that by Stephen Harper of the Conservative Party), that for the last 20 plus years Canada was ruled by a dictatorship that spent well over 25% of its annual budget on educating, training and encouraging Canadian kids and kids of Canadian ancestry throughout North America to murder U.S. citizens.

Imagine further that in large part because of the educational, institutional, and tactical support provided by this dictatorship for the training of young Canadians to both hate and to want to murder U.S. citizens wherever and whenever they can, that over the last 2 years alone, dozens of Canadian teenagers went on stabbing and car ramming attacks of U.S. citizens, killing and maiming hundreds of Americans, including many American children.

Now imagine that in response to this terrible state of affairs that ten members of the “Progressive Caucus of the British Parliament” co-sponsored a bill calling for the condemnation of “America’s detention and mistreatment of Canadian children” and not only completely ignored the dozens of American kids killed and maimed in the attacks by these brainwashed Canadian teenage terrorists, they also completely ignored the decades of child abuse perpetrated by this Canadian dictatorship on their own children, by teaching them that all U.S. Citizens are inherently evil people who deserve to die, and by treating all Canadians who try to kill U.S. citizens as heroes.

Obviously, in such a situation, most of the morally sane world would rightly condemn the backwards thinking and morally obtuse values demonstrated by these ten British Parliamentarians. They would be condemned for ignoring the ugly bigotry of the Canadian government. They would be condemned for ignoring the many American children whose lives were ended or destroyed by the attacks caused by Canadian teenager terrorists; and they would also be condemned for ignoring the role that decades of miseducation and propaganda by the Canadian dictatorship had done to the minds of the Canadian children infected with this vile hate mongering.

Thankfully for America and Americans, Canada is not governed by a racist, kleptocratic dictatorship that spends much of its annual budget, year after year (for over 20 plus years), on educating, encouraging and training Canadian children to hate Americans and to want to kill Americans.

Sadly for Israel and for Israelis, the Palestinian Authority (PA) and Hamas bear little in common with the Canadian Liberal or Conservative parties, and have spent the last two decades plus using the $Billions in aid they receive every year from the EU, the UN and the USA on teaching the children under their dictatorial and kleptocratic control that Jews are essentially vermin who deserve to be murdered. And sadly (mostly, for what it says about the so-called “progressive movement” in the USA), ten members of the self-described “Congressional Progressive Caucus” have completely ignored the abuse of Palestinian children by Hamas and the Palestinian Authority, as well as the outright murder and attempted murder of Israeli children by Palestinian teenage terrorists, by recently sponsoring the “Promoting Human Rights by Ending Israeli Military Detention of Palestinian Children Act.”

The stated purpose of this proposed legislation, according to one its authors and main sponsors, Rep. Betty McCollum of Minnesota, is to prevent the “Israeli military’s ongoing detention and mistreatment of Palestinian children.”

Of course, nowhere in this obscenity of a bill or in McCollum’s press release promoting this act of moral inversion is there any reference to the fact that the “Palestinian children” being “detained” by Israel are mainly teenagers who have murdered or have tried to murder Israelis. Nowhere in this bill or in McCollum’s press release is there any reference to the Israeli children murdered and maimed by these “Palestinian children.” And nowhere in this bill or in McCollum’s press release is there any reference to the numerous ways by which Palestinian children are abused by both Hamas and the PA.

It is truly difficult to imagine a more morally bankrupt insult to human intelligence than this piece of proposed legislation by a group that labels itself as “progressive” and is supposedly concerned with children’s rights. The human rights’ abuses and the abuse of children’s rights ignored by this progressively awful group of legislators are not difficult to discover. A simple Google search can find you troves of easily verifiable information on exactly why Israel sadly has detained “Palestinian children.”

For example, just this past July, a 19 year old Palestinian broke into a Jewish family’s home while they were celebrating a Shabbat dinner and the recent birth of a grandchild. That teenager stabbed to death the elderly grandfather and two of his children before he was shot and detained by an Israeli soldier.

In June of 2016, a 13 year old girl and American citizen, Hallel Yaffa Ariel, was murdered in her bed by a Palestinian “child” (17 year old Muhammed Nasser Tarayeh) who broke into her bedroom and stabbed the beautiful Hallel literally dozens of times in her face and chest.

A few months before Hallel was murdered by a Palestinian “child,” another Palestinian “child” (16 year old Morad Abdullah Adais) repeatedly stabbed and murdered Dafna Meir, a 38 year old nurse and mother of six. After Adais broke into her home, and attacked her with a knife, Dafna Meir bravely fought him, wrestled with him, and even held his knife in her belly while he was stabbing her in order to prevent him from having the time to stab her children.

When asked about his murder of Dafna Meir, this “child” Adais said: “She started screaming, the children saw me and also started screaming, then I stabbed her in her upper body another three or four times. She tried to fight me and tried to take the knife from me. The two children who were there were still screaming, but she continued to resist, so I pushed her, and overpowered her.” And when asked about what he would do if he was allowed to go free after murdering Dafna Meir, this “child” said: “I would go to Al-Aqsa mosque, even if I was killed, and on the way I would kill as many Zionist Jews as I could.” This 16 year old monster was “detained” by Israel and ultimately sentenced to life in prison. He wasn’t tortured and he wasn’t subjected to a death sentence (as he likely would have in the USA), but his detention and conviction apparently deeply troubles the morally confused members of the “Congressional Progressive Caucus.”

In another ghastly case, in part because of the ages of both the victim and the perpetrators, two Palestinian teenagers (ages 13 and 15) stabbed and critically injured a 13 year old Israeli boy riding his bicycle in the Pisgat Ze’ev neighborhood in Jerusalem as well as another 20 year old man. These two “children” stabbed the 13 year old Israeli boy over ten times before one of them was stopped by a passerby in his car and the other one, who tried to then stab a 25 year old man, was shot by the police, before he could hurt anyone else. The 13 year old assailant was treated at an Israeli hospital for his injuries (a truly heinous human rights violation plainly worthy of the righteous indignation of regressive politicians the world over) and after being convicted and sentenced to 12 years in jail for the attempted murder of two Israelis, had his sentence reduced by Israel’s Supreme Court to 9.5 years based on his age (plainly another human rights’ violation that is worthy of the attention of the “Congressional Progressive Caucus”). After all, it is not as if these “progressive” Congressman and Congresswoman don’t live in states that allow for lengthy sentences for attempted murder by juveniles.

The sad reality is that many Israeli children are the victims of intentional acts of terrorism directed at them. Just last week, the people of Israel lost Hodaya Asulin. Hodaya was a beautiful 14 year old girl with her whole life ahead of her in 2011 when a Jihadist bomb hidden in a backpack exploded at a bus stop outside the Jerusalem International Convention Center and critically injured her. Hodaya spent the last 6 and a half years fighting for her life and on November 22, 2017, just days after the “Congressional Progressive Caucus” introduced their morally perverse bill, she succumbed to her wounds. And part of the reason this proposed legislation is so morally bankrupt and perverse is because it ignores the many Israeli children who are victims of Palestinian terrorism, victims like Hodaya.

It is also morally bankrupt and perverse because it completely ignores the reason that Israel “detains Palestinian children.” While the bill sponsored by these ten morally challenged legislators is dripping with the sanctimonious implication that Israel capriciously and for no good cause arrests Palestinian children, the sad reality is that in the past two years alone, at least 79 terrorist attacks were carried out by Palestinian Arabs between the ages of 8 and 17.

But perhaps the biggest reason why the legislation sponsored by these ten members of Congress is so morally bankrupt and perverse, is that it completely ignores the abuse of Palestinian Arab children by the PA and Hamas as well as their respective use of U.S. and U.N. provided aid money to pay for the perpetuation of that abuse.

These ten morally bankrupt legislators ignore or do not care that after multiple Palestinian teenage terrorists had murdered two and injured nine Israelis in sixteen different attacks in the fall of 2015, that the PA’s UN Representative, Riyad Mansour, said on November 23, 2015 (in the halls of the UN, largely paid for by U.S. tax dollars): “We are so proud that in this popular uprising that has started almost two months ago, that the backbone of this uprising are the youth of Palestine.”

These ten morally bankrupt legislators ignore or do not care that both the PA and Hamas regularly and mendaciously lie about Jews and Israel in a manner that would make Josef Goebbels proud. These ten morally bankrupt legislators also ignore or do not care that it is this constant drumbeat of anti-Semitic propaganda and institutionalized racism, promulgated by the PA and Hamas (and paid for in part by U.S. tax dollars) that makes it so easy for a 17 year old to stab a 13 year old Jewish girl almost 30 times while she was lying in her bed or for a 16 year old boy to repeatedly stab a 38 year old mom in front of her children and to only wish for the opportunity to “kill as many Zionist Jews as [he] could.” In fact, right before Morad Abdullah Adais murdered Dafna Meir in front of three of her children, he said that he had watched Palestinian Authority TV shows that mendaciously depicted Israelis killing Palestinians without reason.

In fact, these same ten morally bankrupt legislators have expressed no legislative concern about the use of U.S. aid money by the PA to feed generation after generation of Palestinian Arabs a steady diet of raw unadulterated Jew-hatred and revisionist history designed to incite the very violence that at least 79 Palestinian Arabs kids have engaged in just the last two years.

These ten legislators also express no concern that Palestinian officials and religious leaders, again paid for by our tax dollars, constantly deny thousands of years of Jewish history in the Land of Israel. They express no concern about the raving mad, foaming at the mouth, anti-Semitic canards repeatedly taught to Palestinian Arabs as if they are “fact” by the PA. Carnards like the recent claim by the “moderate” dictator Abbas that Israeli Rabbis are trying to poison Palestinian wells, an anti-Semitic lie Abbas made just days before the 13 year old Hallel Yaffa Ariel was massacred in her bedroom by a Palestinian “child.” Or when Abbas’ appointed dean of the PA schools in Gaza, Imad Hamato, and host of a weekly TV show on PA TV, just this past May, on his show, said that “Israel is a cancerous tumor” and that Jews “control the money in the world,” “control the ‎media, the money, the press, the resources ….”). Again, the kind of vile anti-Semitic propaganda that would make Josef Goebbels proud. And after all, just as Nazi propaganda and anti-Semitism made it easy for Germans to murder Jews and to treat them as a “cancer” or a “pest” that warrants extermination; it does not take a genius to figure out the impact that the PA’s institutional Jew-hatred is having on the hearts and minds of Palestinian Arabs, including their children.

Given their apparent concern for “human rights, especially the rights of children” one would think that these ten legislators would want to put an end to 20 plus years of non-stop anti-Semitic incitement, being paid for in part by US tax dollars, that is brainwashing and inciting Arab children to murder Jewish children. But one would sadly be wrong. In fact, while these “Congressional Progressive Caucus” members apparently think legislation is necessary to try and stop Israel from detaining murderers and attempted murderers just because they happen to be teenagers, they have not only been radio-silent regarding the non-stop Jew-hatred promoted by the PA and Hamas, they have also failed to sponsor or author a single piece of legislation regarding Hamas’s training of child soldiers, its bomb making training camps for kids or the use of child laborers by Hamas to dig terror tunnels and the numerous Hamas “workplace” accidents that have seriously injured or killed hundreds of Arab children. That is because, these ten members of Congress (as is the case for all Israel haters) do not actually care about human rights or even children’s rights, and they certainly do not care about what is actually right; they just care about scoring points with their regressive constituency by bashing Israel.
