First, we saw the genocide on the Jews take new proportions. In just a handful of years, Christian Europe wiped out a third of the Jewish People, decimating and at some places annihilating Centers of Torah.
Then, the miracle that the United Nations agreed to have the Jews have their own State. Some of them concurred through Zionist lobbying, some agreed because they didn’t want to take in the survivors of the Holocaust, and some of them wanted the Muslim countries to finish Hitler’s work.
Next miracle: the People who had not had an army or ideology of military might, lacking any serious training and weapons, defeated and held off the invasion of all its neighbors’ armies. Even scores of local Muslims fled the expected bloodbath that never happened, clearing more land for the Jews.
Some rabbis have called the next biggy, the Six-Day War, the final war before Redemption, the War of Gog and Magog (Ezekiel 38 and 39). The whole world saw the open miracle — eventually generating unprecedented anti-Semitism around the world (‘against the occupation’) ever since.
Looking back, we can’t understand how Jews, dispersed and despised for 2000 years, manage(d) to survive physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
For millennia, the Jews declare three times a day the best proof for the existence of G^d, that He protects the Jews. There’s nothing like it.
