“Never underestimate the power of a group of committed people to change the world. In fact, it is the only thing that ever has”.

In the world of personal development and life coaching, the term 3P’s has been coined to guide one to greater inspiration. PLEASURE, PASSION and PURPOSE have formed the cornerstones of fulfillment and living a life with greater wellbeing and satisfaction.

Pleasure refers to something I enjoy. Passion refers to something that motivates me towards greater accomplishment. And purpose enables me to dedicate myself to something that is no longer about me – larger than me – something that will touch and lift another life.

It therefore makes perfect sense to design a campaign that honors each of the 3P’s ensuring all who come on board derive ultimate pleasure, passion and purpose from its involvement and partnership.

In May 2015, Cycle for Smiles will launch its 6th year campaign in Israel and celebrate Beit Issie Shapiro’s 35th birthday. Beit Issie Shapiro is Israel’s leading organization that develops and provides innovative therapies and services for children with disabilities and their families. Helping over 30,000 people annually, Beit Issie Shapiro is proud to have been named Israel’s most effective nonprofit by efficiency monitor Midot, as well as granted ‘Special Consultative Status’ by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).

With a powerful vision of a more accepting, accessible society which assures the rights and opportunities for maximum growth and development of children and adults with diverse abilities, Beit Issie Shapiro’s mission includes playing a leading role in promoting the inclusion of people with disabilities in society.

Cycle for Smiles is an annual fundraising campaign, initially launched with Kehillat Shivtei Yisrael in Raanana following incredible reviews from the USA, which raises both much-needed awareness and funding for Beit Issie Shapiro’s groundbreaking work. Following its tremendous success, it has grown exponentially each year and has quickly become a primary community highlight in Raanana where hundreds of families with toddlers, children and teens from various communities all participate together in a fun cycle and happening, whilst simultaneously making a meaningful difference to so many special lives through their remarkable charitable efforts. All proceeds from CFS go towards an earmarked program at Beit Issie Shapiro.

Cycle for Smiles is an afternoon of delight and PLEASURE. Families get together in a healthy atmosphere and enjoy music, lots of bike riding, face-painting, magic and lots of fun! It is a day enjoyed by all, eagerly anticipated and highlighted on calendars months ahead of time.

What an accomplishment!

On an educational level, Cycle for Smiles is a unique opportunity for parents to talk about differences with their own children. It is a most wonderful forum to enhance and endorse tolerance, inclusion, acceptance and above all else, loving kindness to all. Isn’t that what every parent wishes for their child: To be loved and accepted and to be more loving and accepting of others? This core value will be what ultimately changes the world.

Cycle for Smiles embodies PASSION. It is an event created with total passion, driven by highly passionate people and has various target goals that are only achieved and surpassed by passion, enthusiasm, support and determination. Every fundraising target, each family and child on board wears a passion for making this event into the extravaganza it’s become.

Cycle for Smiles, has a much wider and deeper PURPOSE. It has fast transformed into a platform for broadening important values of charity, volunteerism and accessibility. Throughout the build-up to Cycle for Smiles, families are welcome to visit Beit Issie Shapiro, learn about the incredible services it provides in Israel and throughout the world and see firsthand the magnificent work performed daily. There is no greater purpose than knowing another life has breathed easier because of you.
