We could thank them for their continued contribution to youth suicide
For their (fictitious) seat in heaven, others can go to Hell? That’s not how the L^rd works. How can such intelligent people believe that being cruel and insensitive to others will make Heaven sensitive to them?
It’s the same as a famous actor on live television slapping a comedian who roasted his wife (a little bit). He abused him “to defend” her. These rabbis would like all LGBTQs to die or disappear or shut up “to protect their idea of family.” They’re not abusers, they are defenders. No one believes them.
Bullies (including war criminal Putin) always claim to be the true victims.
I don’t think that I exaggerate at all when I call them murderers. They are. If I call them murderers, that’s their only hope they might turn around and save what’s left of their morality and future lives.
Instead of being a light unto the nations, they embarrass the Jewish People for all to see. As if a Jew and G^d stand for abuse, for cruelty. History will deal with you if you don’t shape up.
Hundreds of millions of people are LGBTQ. At least half a million of them Jews. These 2000 cowards want them out of the way. They want to solve the LGBTQ Question.
Gays, Lesbians, Transgenders often have to live in fear and isolation for decades, and if they don’t commit suicide can look forward to a life of silence, verbal and sexual abuse, bullying, and murder, sometimes by states, sometimes by ‘religious groups,’ all based on the same Bible verses that these Orthodox rabbis misinterpret. All their blood is on their heads.
It’s not their arrogance that upsets me. It’s not their stupidity. It’s not their cowardice. It’s that their morality, their notion of what is right or wrong, is so low that they are capable of making such enormous mistakes.
And where are their wives, that most of them have, no doubt? They can’t speak up? They can’t point to the verse where G^d tells Abraham (the most moral of all people ever) to listen to Sarah for everything?
And where are the other Orthodox rabbis? When will they say that anyone making LGBTQ feel less safe can’t be an Orthodox rabbi? We won’t eat at their tables, we won’t eat from the food they certified, we won’t listen to their sermons, we ban their books, they can’t be part of prayer quorums.
Gays and allies had to start violent demonstrations before the US government put any serious money into AIDS research. These were politicians, trained to lie and cheat. And these rabbis can’t do better?
And let not Antisemites gloat over Jewish religious leaders being immoral. In other areas, they are often top of the bill.
And let not secularists gloat over the stupidity of religion. Where are the law silencing bigots? Why must democracy stand for the comfortable bullying the weak? How is that equality? How is that humane?
It’s good I’m not G^d. I would wipe them out in a second. I don’t want unrepentant comfortable mass murderers to live. Call me old-fashioned.
For 50 years now, the greatest of the greatest Rabbis, leaders of the generation, have gone to their graves who never ever protested this. How are they going to be redeemed if their immoral silence is not ended?
Gays and Lesbians are much too sweet. I’m not going to blame the victim. People intimidated all their lives, how to blame them? But where are their families? How don’t they picket at these bigots’ homes over Shabbat?
The names of these 2000 bullies are now hidden. Earlier sites are defunct. So, we can only go after their leaders. Let’s do it! Don’t kill or wound anyone. Surely, don’t inflict damage. But, as long as there are no furious demonstrations, nothing will change. These rabbis gladly officiate at the funerals of their victims. I’ve seen it first-hand. They sleep at night very soundly. They preach and lead with glee. They smile for pictures. They must be called out. Each of them. The bullying must stop. Today.
Why do I care so much? How come you don’t?
How do these bullies have the gall to advocate evil (though most of them in anonymity) and you keep silent? On which side of history are you? How’d you want to be remembered? “Always a smile, never a frown”?
To the victims: seek support so that you may live and see: it gets better.
